Alexis best days were over. Younger metalists are not especially common with him. Everyone who started playing metal in late 90s to 2010 knows him. And the guitars increased in price hard. Not only due inflation. ESP raised hard, used ones, especially the first ones like the pink or originally "Wildchild" black yellow one, in a usable state are expensive af. This guitar is a total rip off nowadays for 800 dollars, no case, bolt on neck, lowest quality Floyd, stock tuners, and a generic stock pickup. For 200 dollars less you can get an Arrow 200 with black hardware which won't fade over the course of 5 years, you have two humbuckers, and it is a set neck with FAR BETTER reach on the last 5 frets. The Arrow 200 is so much more practical, cheaper, and with far superior features. This guitar should cost no more than half of its new price.
The 8 gauge strings would of been better for a beginner. I use 8 in standard and it's so much better for bending and vibrato. Heavier gauge is good when you're tuning down.
Its a nice guitar if the strings dont break. I have one from 2009 for €400 with ESP tuners. I believe these guitars where specially designed and build for D standard tuning. I took out the string lock blockers from the floyd rose and locked the strings with the string ball. I cannot think of a bigger nightmare than setting strings on this guitar in E standard setting and back to D standard.

I have a very important question. The 600 vs the edwards... which one would be better? Is it the 600 so expensive due to the fact that is a signature? because they kind of have same price?
The Edward's. All new alexi Edward's models now come with his setup too. They ditched the Seymour Duncan black outs for the emg fh2 pickup with the mm04 preamp booster that's in alexi's guitars. They now come with the frets 20-24 scalloped(the Ltd hexed is the only Ltd Alexi model that has those). Only difference between the Edward's and the ESP version of the guitars are its a floyd rose 1000 instead of an original, and I believe the tuners are different but of the same quality as the ones in the ESP model(I'm assuming it's just a part that easier for them to get in Japan). You gotta look for the newer ones though, the old scythe and original run of his signatures have the old Edward's setup, but pinky, blacky, greeny, and the katakana I believe have all been updated. Just look for "made in 2021"
Hi. I was thinking about buying this guitar for my first (but I've already been playing for a month on a guitar that I borrowed from my friend). After watching this video I changed my mind. Would LTD KH-202 be a better choice? I problably will not use floyd rose until I learn some solos, but should I lock it then? Would palm muting make the bridge move and detune my guitar? I don't mind tuning it daily, but is it really that hard to tune floyd rose?
Yeah the KH is a much forgiving shape - Superstrat. Get one and lock it. Its bot hard to tune if you lock the Floyd. And when locked you can drop tune.
