Yes thank you for the history most people don't even think about how shoes started or evolved to what we have today. I still like my lather shoes they last long time and better for feet to breath.
pretty cool for the channel that has just a few videos. I've been thinking about history of shoes for quite a while and here I am. Finally watched this video and now has some idea about it :)
I do like your calm narrative. The whole concept of shoe design is wrong, we are all looking forward to taking them off and just walking barefoot at home or on the beach, people who make them don't make them comfy as they should in 21.century.
Shoes were invented almost right away because cuss words were invented just before the shoe was thought of. sharp rocks, stickers, yeah like those damn "goat Heads" we used to come across when we were little and running around bare foot, not for damn long, we were back in the house putting our sneakers on, to hell with that bare foot crap. Prehistoric man got busy and was looking for critters to skin out for some fast foot wear and ended that pesky chore of pulling out stickers and dealing with ant bites and stepping on dog doo, yeah we know how that feels, bare-foot that is ewwwwwww. Then the girls started putting all kinds of decorations on their fur foot wear and before long the men got a brilliant idea, 'LADIES SHOE STORES" and now the money comes flooding in and the ladies are screaming for more styles and they soon realized they started a nightmare they could never ever get rid of so they just gave up and handed the whole damn thing over to "Pierre" you know that weird guy who was always dressing up like a, well, girl. The fur and shoe industry now goes hand in hand. Ladies got to have a fur and lots of shoes for every occasion. Who knew.
If you are going to throw numbers like that out in the air, or from the air I should type, then you need to provide evidence of said numbers. If you cannot provide information that is factual or emperical, then I would suggest desisting in blurting out such outrageous conjecture. You skipped a thousand years of modern history and left out a plethora of types and styles of footwear from other eras.

If I could go back in a time I'd flex on them with my boots

This documentary doesn't mention anything about footwear in India or rather Asia. It has a very skewed research.

Sorry, but the narrator is the wrong person for the job. Very hard to understand, he just mumbles.
