Great list Darth Magog. You hit the biggest points possible, with reasonable possible changes. Keep fighting the good fight against such cults like JW. 1 change that I think should be added to the 2nd change, is that CSA, especially continued reports of someone responsible for such a heinous act, should be grounds for disfellowship. Or at the very least, very heavy discipline. You would think that being associated with such a person would be considered "bad association" by their standards. But they wouldn't be the 1st to go by a double standard. All too often high ranking religious people, & pseudo-religious (like leader centred cults) people have been allowed to get away such acts, not just JWs.
Funnily the Witnesses like to talk about other church's double standards too, but they don't acknowledge their own. Just that the Org is made up of "imperfect men" and that other tripe. Maybe we'll live to see it change.
This is the first I'm hearing of your channel, and I must say, I kind of dig it. 😂 You raised some good points, if the organization wants to modernize and stay up to date with the times. God, can you imagine Female Elders!? 🤯
I think the priorities should be issues that effect children the most. Adults can choose to be in the religion. Children get forced into it. Also the patriarchy. People should not be discrminated against based on physical traits they don't have control over such as sex and skin tone.
I always felt like I at most had one foot in and I left fully as a teenager. A lot of things I have seen, been through or connected to I have never understood. Also I have forgot a lot of my experiences. Your videos brings new "light" and understanding. I think by being so good at dismantling other religions is a good way to set up people as atheists when they hit to many walls with the teachings or start to feel that they rather do some living now. But for the people that stay, it would be good if the organization could become more open and free for it's members, especially I would like more protection for kids to be more free and still be able to have their parents and family be a part of their lives if the choose to go.
Your reasons are really good, and I want to add my own thoughts. To me, the no birthday rule contradicts JW's teachings on praising Jahova for everything. It could easily be spun as a celebration of the blessing Jahova gave that year. So, Jahova blessed everyone with another year and prevented Satan from taking them away from the religion. It is not great and would still be cult-like, but at least it allows children to participate in something everyone else does. From what I heard, most good martial arts teachers will state that the best offense is a good defense, and the only way to guarantee winning a fight is to never be in one to start. Learning how to defend oneself from being attacked doesn't mean you want to fight; it just means you want to get out of the fight as fast as possible if needed. For Female elders, it would be wise to at least let women have the title of Elder, which would be highly beneficial in dealing with upholding teachings. It would mean women could seek guidance from an elder and not feel as intimidated because they would not have to be alone with a man. This would also mean keeping modesty without burdening the women to keep the men "in line," so to speak. The passage that Women should not teach over men doesn't mean women can't teach at all. I don't have anything else to say about the other points cause you said them better than I could have. Doubt these changes would be made but they would be wonderful changes.
The best fight is the one you don't have. If nothing else, aikido should be acceptable, as there are no attacks. As for taking time away from YHWH Jealousy Jehovah, the physical fitness and clarity of mind and focus that comes from martial art study would improve the life expectancy of the practitioners. On the other hand, the clarity of mind might lead some to flee the religion.

Why doesn't the Watchtower do what the Mormons did and found their own school where they can require further study of their own literature and history and only offer other majors and tracks they deem valuable?
I knew that disfellowship would be in here.… as it’s the mostly controversial practice they do. Imagining if the Watch Tower watching watching this n taking notes 😅
With more worldly people making the claim, the answer is 'yes', but they'll also insist on verifying you're an apostate. That means you were a witness, baptized, and then left while trying to get others to leave with ... you know, facts, , not just a worldly person who dislikes the faith.
You could also ask to be put on the Do not call list . That might keep them away for a while. Or buy one of The Satanic Temple cards and they should run away 😂
Either say you're Apostate or immediately tell them you want to be placed on their "Do Not Call" list. Those are the fastest and most efficient ways I'd say.

When will these geese allow women to wear slacks in the K. H. and out in what they call "FIELD SERVICE". In many countries women in powerful positions wear sacks to work. Why not allow the "sisters" to wear such clothing to worship, in many and various ways, their God, Jehovah ??
Regarding women we have the example of Junia(s). Most scholars say the name was Junia and not Junias. Junia was a woman's name with Junias being male. The name Junias didn't start appearing for men until decades after that scripture was written, supposedly. That scripture refers to Junia as being an apostle, so if a woman could be an apostle then why not an elder?
yeah jw tends to stray away from the bible verses, that jesus hates like celebrating birthdays and holidays spoiler alert jesus does celebrate birthdays and holidays.
JW teachings: No birthdays in the Bible were ever positive... Bible: The birth of Christ has been celebrated and announced by choirs of angels, the appearance of a bright star and foreign kings bringing presents to baby Jesus. Lk 2, 8-14 and Mt 2, 1-12 could at least justify celebrating his birth. Also, when it comes to female leadership or ability to work in a 'spiritual' task, I like to remind people of the women who went to Jesus' tomb to anoint him. They were the first to witness his rising and the ones who announced it to the disciples. They were the ones who accompanied him during his walk to the Golgotha. Gospels also make notice of female disciples (yes more than Martha and Mary) following him. I could go on for ages (dont get me started on the Holy virgin but thats catholic theology) but there are many scriptures justifying women in spiritual works.
If Jerusalem was destroyed earlier that 607 B.C.E. by 20 years, then Jesus should have been anointed as Messiah when he was two years old. Also World War one should have begun in 1894 C.E. All this undue misinformation proves JWs are Jesus' only disciples in these last days. Matthew 24:9.
The trouble with that, Jim, is your math is off. 607 BCE is BEFORE 589 BCE. Before common era dates count DOWN to 0, not the other way around. So it means that world War I starting in 1914 CE was completely unrelated. So what I'm saying is, the JW year should be 1934 CE. So Jesus would have had to have "been invisibly chosen" at or around the same time *Hitler* (yes that Hitler) became the Fuhrer by the 7 times logic. The math still maths. And the big thing is we actually have artifacts that do prove Jerusalem was around AFTER 607 BCE. Physical proof. So either the 7 times prophecy is wrong, or else Jesus and Hitler became king on the same day. Which do you pick?
@@DarthMagog : Since the last King to the next King who sit on God's throne there would be 7 times that would pass. Daniel 4:16. 7 x 360 = 2520 years would count from 607 B.C.E to 1914 C.E. There being no ZERO year. Jesus' FIRST sign appeared in that year. Historians call it World War 1. (Matthew 24:7) “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, Yes! Sorry about listing 20 years in the wrong way. Jesus would have had to have been anointed by holy spirit as the Messiah in 49 C.E. Jesus was dead and resurrected in 33 C.E. Thus 607 B.C.E is not some random year. It is what fits ALL prophecy.
@@jimjuri6490 right, but I'm saying 607 doesn... actually Jim, can I invite you to the discord? I'd really like to have a proper conversation about this one of these days with you. We'd have a lot to discuss on the topic :)
@@DarthMagog : The J W site can help. There is the 70 year captivity in Babylon to consider. The going out of the word to rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah (Daniel 9:24-27). So many things involved. All had to fit. Why would proving 607 B.C.E. to be a wrong date be of any concern to anyone?
@@jimjuri6490 again, a great question. If the date is wrong, then the prophecy is wrong. Therefore it's false. It brings into question the entire theology.
Is it just me, or does Mr. Lett look like he's putting on some weight lately? Anyway, Martial Arts encourage a zen-like attitude and self-control. Its' meaning was never for strictly fighting. It is only a last resort for self defense and it is encouraged not to fight and instead be at peace in most situations if possible. Meditation was also practiced with it, which is another thing JW teachings are against, because they believe meditation involves "clearing your mind" and is like hypnosis (which is not even close but whatever. Meditation involves much more than clearing your head). It is not uncommon for females in a teaching role in many belief systems to be referred to as a priestess or elder. I doubt the JWs will ever accept a female in that kind of role. I once had a (then active) Elder a few years ago tell me that womens' emotional over-reactions is why men are elders and women or not (or something to that effect). I was needless to say absloutely floored at such a ridiculous statement.
"Good Scriptures"? No such thing. The bible is a vile book of lies, distortions, twisted half-truths, shameful hate, bigotry, and horrors. Honestly, the best thing that can be done would be to scrap the whole thing (except, perhaps, as an example of what NOT to do), and start again. Maybe with the teachings of a deity that is, from the very beginning, and in all works, acknowledged to be a fictional construct. Perhaps a secular deity, who doesn't mysteriously change shape to appear pleasing to each local culture, but is consistent in form (or formlessness). I'm thinking one that doesn't claim to be better, more righteous, or stronger than other deities, but one that just is. Doesn't help, doesn't hurt, just watches and listens. One without priests, priestesses, or worldly hierarchical structure. OK, now I'm starting to contradict myself, so I'll just stop.

Why doesn't the Watchtower do what the Mormons did and found their own school where they can require further study of their own literature and history and only offer other majors and tracks they deem valuable?
That'd cost money 💰
I knew that disfellowship would be in here.… as it’s the mostly controversial practice they do.
Imagining if the Watch Tower watching watching this n taking notes 😅
Lol they do keep track of Apostate videos. Not sure if I'm on their "Most Wanted" list yet.
I heard one of the fastest way to never get JWs to evangelize to your household is to tell them youre an apostate. Is this true?
With more worldly people making the claim, the answer is 'yes', but they'll also insist on verifying you're an apostate. That means you were a witness, baptized, and then left while trying to get others to leave with ... you know, facts, , not just a worldly person who dislikes the faith.
You could also ask to be put on the Do not call list . That might keep them away for a while. Or buy one of The Satanic Temple cards and they should run away 😂
Either say you're Apostate or immediately tell them you want to be placed on their "Do Not Call" list. Those are the fastest and most efficient ways I'd say.
@@rubrawolfoh wow I thought they would assume garden variety christian, not specifically a JW. 😬
@@DarthMagog do not call list is probably the best way to go. It's less aggressive lol
13:04 My lord, it appears we already have female elders within the rebel ranks.
They are called ‘elderettes’
The wives of active elders and often more strict than their spouses.
Ah true, those Elder's Wives are brutal
Lime Kool aid ???😂😂😂
Would you be open to expanding and adding stormtroopers (other exjw YTbers) and do like a panel, or a Live? I would love to collaborate :)
Oh I love having collaborators on the channel! 😁 Just need a good topic
@@DarthMagoghere is an interesting subject, jesus took 5 years to look at all religions, then chose what we know as JWs as Gods mouth piece on earth in 1919.
Magog let me know if you would like me to make some JW transparencies for streams, i am pretty good at it , but would need ideas what you'd want to make, I was making some JW Borg for Example recently but not as transparencies, but I could do that
Hmmm, it would be fun to do some streams. Stay in touch eh?
@@DarthMagog I can email you some of the pics I already made if you wish I do them just for fun anyways, some are pretty good Like Lett as a Borg
You have a very good list with very great arguments. However (no disrespect) the items on your list will happen when pigs fly just because of the controlling nature
of the watchtower. I have a laundry list of things the Vatican needs to do to fix Catholicism how ever I too feel that my list will happen why pigs fly.
Hey no offense taken. I see it more as a "wish list" and intend to continue my crusade against the crumbling Watchtower 💪
I'm sorry but why was he reading his script off his phone. Can the Watch Tower not get him a tablet off screen to read his script off. He looks like he could care less about the announcement
Lol I like to think it was straight from "Governing Body Group Chat."
@@DarthMagog it still looks bad to me. He looks like a teenager that got told by his parents he needs to apology and he is faking his way through it. I mean even just having someone hold cue cards off screen would help make it look like he cared he is speaking for a whole religion about changing something that people consider one of the odd things about JW.
new light saber hahaha
Can't remember exactly who I stole that from, because it was early on, but it's my favorite one
Mormons in leadership positions can't have a beard .....
Really, still? I thought all men and boys got "the priesthood."
@@DarthMagog yeah every male non f up will get the priesthood but if you're called into the bishopric or as an elders quorum member you will either have to shave or more likely already don't have a beard ....
Id like to see LGBTia+ rights to be allowed as well because im someone who recently came out as gay
That would be nice to see.
"You got to keep on going."
This is why Rich Mullins's songs are better than that JW song.
Oh pretty much any song is better than a JW song
When will these geese allow women to wear slacks in the K. H. and out in what they call "FIELD SERVICE".
In many countries women in powerful positions wear sacks to work.
Why not allow the "sisters" to wear such clothing to worship, in many and various ways, their God, Jehovah ??
Honestly I think that might be the next change
@@DarthMagog
Then smoking is a conscious thing as would be the use of recreational drugs ??
Women have only been wearing pants for about the past 100 years in the USA . You’d think they’d kinda figure out that this isn’t Male dress.
they will not stop the blood nonesence it would cost them billions in litigation
Yeah I can see that
Regarding women we have the example of Junia(s). Most scholars say the name was Junia and not Junias. Junia was a woman's name with Junias being male. The name Junias didn't start appearing for men until decades after that scripture was written, supposedly. That scripture refers to Junia as being an apostle, so if a woman could be an apostle then why not an elder?
👍👋
His honor, Judge Flems, presiding!
yeah jw tends to stray away from the bible verses, that jesus hates like celebrating birthdays and holidays spoiler alert jesus does celebrate birthdays and holidays.
they need to stop lying.
That would be nice if we got some JW honesty.
@@DarthMagog yeah
(Matthew 24:7) “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,
Yes!
Lol you're good. Gotta talk through the ideas, ya know?
