- In this week's episode we take a look at some of the pioneering psydub producers from the United Kingdom. All these producers are masters of their craft and have produced some of the most memorable psychedelic dub tunes of the past 30 years. Given the number of artists from the UK it was a bit of a challenge deciding who to include or not. Overall I hope this selection gives you some idea of that distinctive UK sound. I've also included one or two somewhat recent tunes to keep things smooth and chilled throughout. I hope you enjoy the mix - I'm enjoying it on repeat myself !

@Danburybeeches that is a bit of an odd tune. It can be found on the comp Liquid Dub Vol 7. There were no Vols 1-6 by the way 😂 the liner notes say it's a remix by Graham Wood ( of Infinity Project fame ) of a track by written by three members of punk/industrial group Killing Joke. The original track was So36. It's all a bit confusing really. I noticed it's not on Bandcamp too. The original label reemerged from the ashes in 2019 on Bandcamp but they haven't republished LDV7 sadly. I remember seeing in on Amazon some time back - might be the only option as far as digital releases go.

Yeah I kind of felt Dub Save The King didn't quite have the same ring to it. But now that I think of it , it may well have been better as in terms of King of Zion !

Cheers mate. The audio of that mix is on the mix "420 in dub". If you search through the past mixes you should see it there. The original video for that mix, with the butterfly, is still on my PC and I intend to use it for the next psydub mix as like you, a few people have been asking for it. Just wanted to get this mix of UK artists done first as it's been on my mind for about a year ! 😂

Time title your tunes it's good promotion for the artist's as you have a great depth in choice
I do add time stamps. Is that what you mean ? It could be UA-cam playing around again. Sometimes timestamps get disabled randomly it seems and then come back again. Check the video description if you can't see a timestamp during playback as they are listed there too. YT may be testing user engagement, do people watch more without timestamps etc.

Respectable list but the absence of Quanta raises questions.
I was going for artists from the early days. Quanta is awesome of course but a bit too modern for the list .
