I have an XL20 bass cube where the switch appears to have stopped working - it's done this a couple of times since I bought it, But I can't seem to get the back off to check the switch - two of the main screws don't seem to want to come out...
The problem with amps built like this is that they work until they don't, and when they need service, they are very difficult and sometimes impossible to actually repair. My 120 made about 30 live shows before it started acting up. Even after fixing the grounds, I don't trust it anymore.
@@hugeshowsI like the concept of having the different amp and effects built right in. If guitar amps can do it then bass amps can. It's just the cube ones have this flaw. My 20XL mostly sits at home for practice. I use the bass amp at church so never needed my own bigger one.
Just for the record, I'm very suspicious about commenters who feel the need to defend a little piece of equipment, as if they themselves manufactured it. You say these amps have a tendency to crap out on the user, and suddenly here's a bunch of guys with "I gigged with mine for twenty years, still going strong!"
I have the CB100 model the one that came out before it bout 2008..had not probs with it but yeah the grounding set up if it's the same on mine isn't the best that's for sure
Thats true i have 2 roland cube 80 and its roasted same thing happen to the 2 unit

The Roland cubes they suck for Distortion Like metal and rectifier setting but the katana boss is great for metal and clean
@@googlesucks5087 Ok When I use my bass Effects pedal using a distortion patch it works great.
@@googlesucks5087if you like fizzy buzzy for tones

This is why I only buy vintage tube amps.
