    Soundbar for PC makes a lot of sense actually since your sitting right infront of your monitor most of the time. Traditional TV soundbars struggle sometimes due to how different everyones living room setup is but PC has a lot less varience in that regard. Makes it much easier for developers to get the tuning right

    I bought this the day it dropped, it has been a gem for its size. For my small space connected to a lg 48 cx( pc console setup) it has been perfect. Sounds super clean and detailed, I also have the sb katana and razer sound bar and this one is better. The bass is rich and clean and surprisingly decent considering no dedicated subwoofer. Was worth the buy. If you need something to shake the house then this isn’t for you.

      @@7DegreesOfFreedom if you are outputting to the soundbar with a digital signal you will want to give the soundbar full signal and cut away the volume using the soundbar. because the amp in the soundbar will have to work less to get the desired volume when giving it a louder sorce rather than making the amp work extra hard by giveing it a quiet signal and amplifying it to the desired volume and when the amp has to work less it should have a lower nose floor and possibly produce less distortion.

    In general, you should keep window's volume at 100%, and adjust it through your amplifier/speakers.
    1. Windows decrease volume digitally, in a way that degrades output audio quality.
    2. Less stress on the amplifier circuitry that could result in distortions.

The (arguably) best rated separate speakers are the Creative Labs Gigaworks series, and they come in at 1/4 and 1/3 of the price of that sound bar. I feel that without mentioning the cost you're missing out a very critical part of the product.

    You said you're running the sound bar at 100% volume and using windows volume. I would generally not recommend running any amplifier at 100% volume as this will generally bring up the noise floor and possibly introduce clipping and distortion/coloration of the sound. 75% of max volume is usually a safe max volume that will generally guarantee the amp inside is running within the spec it was meant to without distortion or clipping. Unless you have an oscilloscope to otherwise prove that it doesn't clip at max volume, 75% is a good rule of thumb when it comes to any audio gear.

    the extra display issue will prob go away if you use optical cable. as far as I have researched, nvidia does not offer HDMI(ARC) support, so the only way to have sound on hdmi gpu port is to have a display connected.

    • @brumby92
      @brumby92 3 роки тому +2

      Yeah but it can get messy quickly. Have a separate DAC, headphone amp, power amp, 2 speakers and a sub and you've got a big mess of cables.

    • @SlizenDize
      @SlizenDize 3 роки тому +2

      The soundbar hides the cables better and take less room under your screen.
      Also, it's a sponsored video so don't overthink it.

    The problem with speakers, well one that I haven’t spent much time finding a solution to, is using a mic while gaming. Seems like most if not all mics will pick up voices from your friends and game noise.

    How does this stack up to the Sound BlasterX Katana? Bought that based partially on you opinions and very happy with it! I love it. This one doesn't seem to have a subwoofer so interesting to see the comparison.

    Cheap way to build a bt enabled sound bar - card board box (preferably shoe box), 2 cheap 4ohm speakers you'd still put in your car and a 2€ bt enabled pam8403 amp. All in all i'd still rather go for a decent 5.1 speaker system.

    The Source should ALWAYS be around 90-100%!
    Otherwise the amp will start to affect your signal in bad ways and overmodulate or introduce humming/static noise in the backround.
    cheers from the dj booth. ;)

      @@dean9645 Yeah it's good. Just a pain that the optical input it only 2.0 which is limitation of the input type. Using the HDMI for 5.1 to input the sound can make windows think there is another monitor attached. Overall for its footprint its nice, clear voice option is great for RPGs too.

    Would not be better to connect the sound bar via an optical cable to the PC? If I was going to use an HDMI, would work with the port at the motherboard, instead of the graphics card?

  • @chrisbullock6477

    I would assume the Dolby Atmos part is not necessarily for games to begin with and more has to do with audio video doing editing or your editing audio for video and you using Dolby or if you doing playback video playback or just plain old watching a movie

    I have to make things difficult so I am using a Samsung q60t through s/pdif from computer to speakers
    Same great sound as hdmi through graphics cards and no voids eating up, although if you run on 1080p you can screen copy the display port with a nvidia gtx1080
