For some reason pop up in my mind about this song, incredibly I heard it again since I saw the movie that this song is from back in 1979, such a awesome original mistery movie that never got the recognition it deserved
Had this stuck in my head for a few weeks after watching the film, it's awful but at the same time it's intriguing. The voice, her seemingly "stoned" ~ vocals.. idk, there's something special about it. Also it's hilarious to sing along 💘
AMANDA LEAR - YOUR YELLOW PYJAMA (1977) (Lyrics by Amanda Lear, music by Riz Ortolani) Trying to remember A bright summer day Dancing on the blue sea Like a child in the sun How can I forget your smiles You played in the sun The sun on your body Summer wind is so caressing Because you’re a woman Empty beaches are enchanting Because you’re a woman Loving free is so exciting Your yellow pyjama A thing that you wear Your yellow pyjama and The perfum in your hair The man that you really wanted And who got away And then came another Didn’t know the way to love her And you want another ‘Cause you know it’s now or never Because you’re a woman And you want to be together And there was a lover That you haven't yet discover But love is a fever It turns man into a killer The yellow pyjama Has become a deadly colour Because you’re a woman Your blue eyes will live forever Because you’re a woman A woman who wants A feeling of freedom For trying to understand All you ever really wanted Was laughter and love Because you’re a woman Tender words you're longing to hear Because you’re a woman When he said it he was so near Because you’re a woman Give her love and she'll reject it Because you’re a woman Marry her, she'll feel neglected Because you’re a woman Flirt a little and you get hurt Because you’re a woman Woman wants to be a lover Because she’s a woman Do you know the way to love her? I want you I want you I need you I need you (Thanks to Cowboy Tanaka for fixing and completing)
I've made a few corrections and filled in the blanks: You played [in] the sun A [thing] that you wear [Didn't] know the way to love her It turns [man] into a killer [Your blue eyes will] live forever [All] you ever really [wanted] Because you're a woman [Tender words you're longing to hear] Because... [When he said it he] was so near Because... Give her love and [she'll reject it] Because... [Marry her, she'll] feel neglected Because... [Flirt a little] and you get hurt
I've only just discovered this triptastic masterpiece. Now I can't do without it.
Love this song.
La voce enigmatica di Amanda Lear è sempre affascinante

AMANDA LEAR - YOUR YELLOW PYJAMA (1977)
(Lyrics by Amanda Lear, music by Riz Ortolani)
Trying to remember
A bright summer day
Dancing on the blue sea
Like a child in the sun
How can I forget your smiles
You played in the sun
The sun on your body
Summer wind is so caressing
Because you’re a woman
Empty beaches are enchanting
Because you’re a woman
Loving free is so exciting
Your yellow pyjama
A thing that you wear
Your yellow pyjama and
The perfum in your hair
The man that you really wanted
And who got away
And then came another
Didn’t know the way to love her
And you want another
‘Cause you know it’s now or never
Because you’re a woman
And you want to be together
And there was a lover
That you haven't yet discover
But love is a fever
It turns man into a killer
The yellow pyjama
Has become a deadly colour
Because you’re a woman
Your blue eyes will live forever
Because you’re a woman
A woman who wants
A feeling of freedom
For trying to understand
All you ever really wanted
Was laughter and love
Because you’re a woman
Tender words you're longing to hear
Because you’re a woman
When he said it he was so near
Because you’re a woman
Give her love and she'll reject it
Because you’re a woman
Marry her, she'll feel neglected
Because you’re a woman
Flirt a little and you get hurt
Because you’re a woman
Woman wants to be a lover
Because she’s a woman
Do you know the way to love her?
I want you
I want you
I need you
I need you

Can't decide if this is fantastic, awful or both
Cusp.
Wow what a great composition by Ortolani, but kinda Viper level stuff from Amanda Lear
