      @@thesnapper84 I would've taken all the bigger pay days. The rematch would've been crazy ppv money. And he could've still fought Floyd. No reason he couldn't do both and make a hell of a lot more money before retiring. His family wasn't going anywhere. Wtf?

    • @thesnapper84
      @thesnapper84 Рік тому

      @@aizentaicho82 The kid was really disrespectful before, during and after the fight too. Do you remember him running out the ring to the lockers while getting showered with beer from fans?? Why would Maidana want to get Broner paid and work with that manchild a 2nd time?? He beat that azz on moved onto better things… And a 2nd fight would have been terribly bad for Broner… The proof is in the pudding and he was gun shy after that.. It wouldn’t have been nearly as good.. It would’ve been like the Mikey Garcia or Pacman fight where he threw 6-8 punches per round… You need to get off that rematch talk…

    • @aizentaicho82
      @aizentaicho82 Рік тому

      @@thesnapper84 you need to get off that weak talk. He did all that talking and lost, badly. The rematch would've made waaaaay more money than the first fight. Everyone would've been lined up to see him either get his butt kicked again for being disrespectful. Or see if he took the fight more seriously and set the stage for a 3rd fight. Muhammad Ali talked a lot of trash too. And lost fights as well. Yet the rematches were amazing. Not comparing either fighter to the GOAT, just saying people love to see these fights. Winning again and making hella money while doing it, wouldn't have been bad for either fighter. And dudes family wasn't going anywhere. Thats just making excuses.

      Yea don’t ever quit, you can lose an enormous part of your fan base if you quit on the stool. You can come back from a KO faster than you can from quitting. Ppl continue to watch AB for the simple fact the loss barely humbled him and also bc he’s never quit or been ko’d. He’s really a warrior at the end of the day for not doing what Ortiz did when they both pretty much got the same exact treatment from Maidana.

      Maidana was a natural Jr. Welterweight. He was a good puncher at Welterweight but far from a great puncher and definitely not the biggest puncher in the division. And by the time Broner fought Maidana he wasn't a lightweight. I seem to recall Broner might have gone back to 140 once or twice, but my memory is that he missed weight and or set catchweight fights because he couldnt continue to make 140. Point is, Broner fighting Maidana wasn't David vs GoliathasBroner seems to suggest.
