I see you fitted HH pads. I wont use these on the road on any bike. Yes they may be better on a track where brake temperature is maintained by heavy braking for corners every few seconds but on the road you need instant braking force when you grab the lever regardless of brake temp. I fitted the Fazer 600 pads which are GG rated in both my XJR1300 and R1. Grabbing the front brake was like running into a wall compared to the slow progressive build of braking force that comes with the HH spec pads as they need to build heat to work. It can drastically reduce your braking distance at the temps achieved on the road. Even a very fast rider won't maintain enough brake temp on the road to warrant using HH pads. I am 62 and been riding since i was 10, competed in multiple disciplines, spannered at GP level and have 3 land speed records, i am not your average armchair expert preaching BS, try a set of GG rated pads next time you need some new anchors, you wont go back!
Thanks for the info I will certainly look into those, main reason I chose the HH was it was what my mechanic recommended when I had it in for MOT, not sure if maybe its because they are only on the rear just now I haven't really noticed any reduced braking capacity but I will look into the GG rated pads
Tell me about but yeah thanks , also glad I bought it prior to going away could have been worse if I didn’t decide to change the rear pads and never found the fault, would have probably ran the rear pad down to the metal over at the TT
Its amazing that big bike like r6 using the same caliper model with yamaha cub bike.. you can google Vega R which is sold in indonesia has similar caliper with yours..
Do yourself a favor and get rid of those sliders. Fit ones from a Gen 2 FJR1300. Also no need for gold pads it will only cause excessive wear on the disc

Typical eh, just when you're ready to rock, life chucks a spanner fast ball at you in the last minute 😂 Glad you got her sorted mate.
Enjoy the TT.

Handy to know if I am looking for another caliper that there are more options out there thanks for the info
Mate you really need a taller shed xD Have fun at the TT!
I know that much lol, you always think you picked a large enough shed till you get it then you decide you need a shed extension

Thanks for the info I will look into those replacement sliders
Good deal
Thanks mate
