Don’t make excuses for wanting to take your husband’s last name. Own it! You’re a married woman and a mother now and what a better way to tell the world you’re a family. Not to mention, honoring your husband and set a great example for your children. Well done, Nicole.

I wholeheartedly agree! I love my husband and taking on his last name was so meaningful for us and now that we have a son and we all have the same last name, it makes it extra special. I couldn't think of a better way to honor him than by taking on his last name.
Somehow feminism has some women thinking is wrong nowadays, I am fully independent woman and took my husbands last name is so much easier when you have children and even legal purposes
@@asareelruiz7493 Agreed! Indenpendent bread-winner here! It doesn't matter. It was my choice. Mine to make. I didn't need anyone's permission or approval. And yes I agree that for legal and other practical purposes, it makes life easier. If other women chose to keep their maiden name or even have their husbands' take on their last name, by all means be my guest. As for me and my house, we're happy and love to have one name that represents us as a family unit.

ALSO had Mom’s wrist. It was no joke. The wrist action of unhooking my bra would have me in tears. Had it in both wrists. Had lots of cortisone shots, before they finally did a little surgery to relieve the pressure. Helped IMMENSELY. Only had to have the surgery in one wrist because the inflammation in the other one went down on its own.

It’s so giving when you make a decision on name change when you know who you are as a name change does not define you or take your personality away. My husband did the most honourable thing asked me if I’ll consider taking his last name, was very liberating for me to accept.

I totally understand where you’re coming from because when I divorced my kids dad I kept that last name because of my kids even though I didn’t want that last name anymore and I still have it and they’re grown adults with their own kids. Lol

I've always found it strange that society still forces women to give children their spouse's last name rather than theirs, the mother. Honestly, if I were a woman who had to carry and deliver a child, and unfortunately in many situations even raise children on my own and not get to give them my last name, I would be pissed lol.
I agree with you. Patriachy blows. I am still kinda bitter my kids takes my spouse's last name when I frigging carried the babies, gave birth, milked them for over 2 years, am the primary caregiver. I take care of everyone and the house. My body has changed in so many ways, permanently. And yet, the babies have THE FATHER'S last name??? WHY?
