Your doing good Tia. I have the same setup you have but in a 2021 4Runner. My Mr. Heater Buddy is the big one so it works too good. It's off more than it's on. Still getting the 4Runner setup as I have been using an 89 Dodge Phoenix for my camping but I had to junk it last Aug. Found bad rust through the frame. I have the same Coleman Stove. Love it. I use 2 stick free fry pans I found at Walmart for all my cooking. They have a Cooper color coating on them, they clean up real easy, & were only $9 each. I found lids for them from my other pans I do the bacon & egg mix too, but I add country sausage, onions, peppers, sliced mini tomatoes, mushrooms, hashbrowns, getting it all cut up & scrambled together, than the cheese on top. So good on a cold wintery day. I usually do about 4 4 day campout weekends at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. I love the racing venue there & love camping so for me, It's a ringer. My sleeping arrangement for the 4Runner is similar to yours. I found a preformed mattress online which fits perfectly laid out in one half of the back. Then my sleeping bag on top. The other half of the back I have my large electric Coleman Cooler, my 1000 Watt Solar Power Unit & 2 Solar Panels, 6 foot folding table, camping chair, & other odds & ends. Trying to save up for a decent roof rack & awning setup. Keep on posting as I'll be watching. Love what folks are doing with the SUV's.

Maybe put a piece of plywood underneath your bed and screw a few handles on the end then maybe you can pull it out 2-3 feet for a work space? Check the weather in Kentucky ‘fore you start back…….it was 22 with snow flurries this morning! It’s definitely warmer than North Dakota but still rather chilly! 🥶. Breakfast looked yummy!
One thing we do when we go camping is to mix up the eggs and pour them into a washed out bottle. Gatorade bottles are nice because of the wider mouth. But the fit in the cooler nice withany other bottles you might have with.
love your setup! I’d highly suggest simply adding a piece of scrap wood/cheap wood from Lowe’s etc to lay across your bed to cook on! It’ll also make a nice platform for your laptop phone when not being used as a table! Can’t tell you how many oil splatters and foods I’ve gotten in my “kitchen”. Cheers for the road!

Hi I took my front seat out and cut plywood to fit from the passenger footwell, to the rear passenger footwell, then you can put a box or legs to support the front of the plywood and put the back on top of the rear seat , you then have a big safe area to cook on or as I do I sleep on the wood ,and underneath you have a garage to put food in etc .
You're very brave! It's way too cold for my Florida Blood to be out in that weather. I don't understand wanting to be out in the extreme cold when you could be hunkered down in a warm house. I just don't like the cold.
Planning a van for retirement and this is exactly what I want to avoid! Not to mention I spent a winter in Fargo...never, ever again. And I'm from WY and no stranger to winter. Screw. That.
Never thought of trying to ignite a Mr. Buddy heater outside when it is in 10 degrees, as if it is suppose to heat something. I could see a cup of hot chocolate or coffee with that omelet.
