His chicken songs and his sung sketches hit exactely the same point this video tells: turning something too serious like Jodeln or Japanese martial arts into something to laugh about by putting chicken into the story. And here a genious is pronounced mad because he started to act like a chicken. It is a joke. Like he did about martial arts. Not bad, but lovely. Takeo Ishi is an old man right now, his sons are all adult and away into their own lives and when someone young makes a "documentary" about his life (a funny one with jokes and not just the truth, as you can see on the fact that all his great personal life in Bavaria is missed!), then it is an honour. Not many Jodler are known like him by young people. And why? Because he is popular for his sense of humor.

Auf mehreren Erdteilen gleichermaßen! Vermutlich hatte er mit Schöpfungen wie "Chicken Attack" eine viel geringere Wirkung im Sinn. Was zum Schmunzeln. Das ist eine durchaus wertschätzende Aufmerksamkeit. It was so cool of Franzl Lang to take this young man under his wing. I've listened to Franzl Lang online for several years now, and he's always struck me as being a very decent and nice person. Helping this Japanese yodeler just reaffirms those thoughts.
It's really some sort of miracle they meet. Lang coincidentally visiting the bar takeo ischi yodelling for. Lang was so impressed by takeo yodelling to the point he take takeo as disciple right after that.
Takeo Ischi strikes me as a very nice and friendly man with a great sense of humour who does the thing he loves to do most which is yodeling. I would love to meet him someday, I'd most certainly buy him a beer :). Oh and good work on the video, it made me laugh ;).
Takeo Ischi has not decayed in the slightest, his music has certainly changed a bit but that is to be expected given that he has been doing it for decades.

It`s a pop derivate of "Volksmusik"...so..for the masses :) He is well versed in yodeling - history - you showed a clip of him, doing a Peter Hinnen Yodel. And the chicken references are on his breaktrhrough yodeling performance if my memory serves me right
