Great video really happy for you guys. I am surprised that you didn't stack the bales on pallets for the airflow. Also personally I would add some boards to the inside of the beams just where the hay will be stacked as the first time you hit the wall it will be blown out and the repairs will begin.
Awesome job guys , looks like your storage barn/shed is going to work out perfectly ! Love it when a plan comes together ! Thanks for sharing !!!!! 😊🙏👍❤️
Bales of hay have gotten considerably larger since my couple of years working for a hay hauler. But you make it look quick and easy with the tractor. Great job!
I told you that you would start packing it in. Good place for hay to be kept. Good save with the Excavator. Turned out quite spacey. Try to save a space so that if anything breaks down you got some where to park it until you got space in the work shop to fix it. Could be handy. Thanks for posting....
Very impressed with how the new building turned out. I was really impressed with all the forethought in your planning for the hay bale section Marc. Great video you guys. Stay safe as always, have a great week
GOOD JOB LOOKS GREAT!... You need wood blocking, wire screens or ? to stop birds from nesting on those upper beams and crapping on all your stuff below.....
Video for the roof will be tomorrow on the main channel. I’m typically 1-2 weeks behind on editing. ~ Ola I keep a lot of real time updates or sneak peeks on Facebook and instagram.
I bet there’s a part of your mind that’s already convinced you’ve outgrown that building 😂 If you ever get weather coming in the front of the shed, you can always drop a tarp down in front of the hay and or equipment from either of the purlins. When you win a bajillion dollars in the lottery, you can buy a CASE Minotaur DL550 Compact Dozer Loader. It’s what I’d want lol
Have you got beet juice in those rear tires?? Every time you picked one of those double bales up, I was thinking you were about to do some wheelies on your front tires.
Just curious - How do you pencil out the costs of all the food ( feed, hay, etc) shelter building, vet bills, etc...for your animals? In return - do you sell the cows, pigs, chickens...some for food for yourselves or sell to others to recoup the costs that you have spent? I don't understand owning food animals versus buying from a butcher.
We got couple of things going. 1 we have a camp site we rent out through out the summer our price is 75/night we stay pretty busy. We sell piglets 125/per pig every spring, this was our first year and only had 4/6 saws deliver piglets. And UA-cam. We have a main channel @mountainmapleranch that brings in a small income. But final but not least we both work. I (Ola) work as full time RN and Marc is a contractor. All of our farm income is based on a 5-10 year payback.
I know this isnt the main channel but did i miss the video of the roof being put up on the new shed?? LOL I guess this channel is just ahead of the other one, im sure its coming. LOL
@@MountainMaplewithaSideofranch I figured that was the case but it didnt stop me from going back and looking to make sure you didnt slip in a video that i missed! It is looking so good, you guys did a great job.
When I repaired the thumb before spring I did not expect for it to hang in there as long as it has. Excavator is Finally READY TO WORK! Repairs and Upgrades Completed ua-cam.com/video/-fxl-qppFgk/v-deo.html
The roof video is coming tomorrow, and the batten strips are there next, but we filmed the stain being sprained yesterday (we ran out of stain). We need to buy more today, AND we painted epoxy on the new concrete behind the shop. I am about 2 weeks behind in editing, but trying to get those videos out.:)
Get on land for sale on line. And wait for a minute, the prices right now are very crazy for land get on some email listing, so you get updates on any new property for sale. I think we should have a little drop in the market after the elections no matter who gets in. That’s my opinion. I watch the real estate all the time. I am always looking for some flat grown to extend our farm. ~Ola
horses are more sensitive to poor condition hay than cows or pigs. any mold or meildew messes with their stomachs and can cause them to colic and that can kill them

That will make a world of difference to have your hay protected from the winter snows. Very nice, good job !
put a layer of pallets on the bottom of your hay stacks for air flow, it helps prevent molds and mildew in the hay, less spoilage

Very impressive Marc! This winter will be much better following all the work you all have accomplished, congratulations!

did you do a video on putting on the roof of the new shed
Coming to the main channel tomorrow morning
You definitely need a bigger tractor!
do u need them on pallets for air circulation? or avoid ground moisture?
Yes you are right. We will have this moved soon enough to the steel building and 15 bales go pretty quickly around here.:)
You need forks for the excavator 🤪
I know this isnt the main channel but did i miss the video of the roof being put up on the new shed?? LOL I guess this channel is just ahead of the other one, im sure its coming. LOL
I will have the roof video tomorrow:) This channel content is SOOO much easier to edit than the multiple days' worth of work :) 😂
