UK here! Lovely to see a reaction video and a positive one for Olly over in the States. Bit of context about him and this song; so as has been mentioned he was a runner up on the sixth series of The X Factor here in the UK in 2009. As another comment has pointed out he has sold loads of records in the UK and in Europe (Germany in particular loves him) and Australia since, he's also a presenter and is a coach on the UK version of The Voice. He has however toured and released in America before; he supported One Direction on their first US tour about 10 years ago. He also had a song called "Troublemaker" which was with Flo Rida and that did really well on the Billboard charts, it went top 30 and sold a million copies. He has had four UK number one singles to date, this was the third and it's his biggest single and the song most people know him for here. He co-wrote it with Claude Kelly who has written a lot of Olly's songs with him but also songs for Whitney Houston and Britney Spears. He performed the song on The X Factor in a duet with The Muppets which you can find on here too, it's so good! I have also had the pleasure of meeting him numerous times down the years, he is genuinely a really lovely guy, down to earth, bit cheeky and funny, talks for England, but he's also brilliant to go watch live. He's taken time out from performing for the last couple of years cause of a knee injury he had but he is making a new album which is likely to be out next year if not before then. Great video anyway!
WOW, that has an old school vibe. I like it. This had the same feel to it that The Stray Cats music had when I first heard it 25 or so years ago.
Nice, they don't really make a lot of music like this any more. I actually really enjoyed that. It is cool when modern groups and singers create that old school sound so successfully.
Then again I am old, so I guess this is fitting. LOL

Given that I'm also in the UK (Scotland in my case), it was surprising to see Olly pop up on here. He's sold plenty records over here. He's done a lot of presenting work on TV as well as the music career, & I think he's still a coach on the Voice here (altho I can't be sure since I don't watch TV anymore).
For something contagiously fun & upbeat, but with much deeper musical substance to it, which I reckon both of you could genuinely enjoy, how about the CEO of Patreon's band ( he's the bearded dude playing keys on the Rhodes in this one), Scary Pockets, with the excellent Steve Swatkins guesting on the Prophet thru a talkbox, backed by one of Europe's finest big bands, covering a Daft Punk classic: ua-cam.com/video/RHu0ALxqUIo/v-deo.html I'll be shocked if both of you don't feel this.... it's a criminally underappreciated absolute *gem* !! ;)

The only reason I used to listen to olly murs was because we shared the same name, I didn't like the music at all.
