The Prophet (SAW) told a woman who was doing female circumcision to only cut a little piece of flesh off if she’s going to cut anything. But He never said it was obligatory for women like it is for men. He never said cut off big portions of a woman’s reproductive organ. He never said mutilate women.m which is what people do. It’s immoral the way they do it now and it’s not Islamic because they go past what the Prophet (SAW) advised the woman who was circumcising girls during his time.
What I don't quite understand is that we have been doing this for how many years and there haven't been any problems regarding this situation. Now these people come for money, saying that they are defending women's rights. In this century, there have been no problems. Now these fools come saying nonsense
Just because it’s been practiced for a long time doesn’t mean it’s right or Islamic. What’s allowed in Islam is to cut a very small piece of flesh IF you’re going to cut anything at all. Because it’s not mandatory for women to get circumcised like it is for men. Female circumcision is not done properly now and hasn’t been done properly by Africans. They go to the extremes when cutting and end up causing harm to women. If you deny that it harms women then you’re either not interested in hearing women who’ve been affected talk about their struggles or you just don’t care
