I'm using 5C bulbs... do you know if you can keep cooling them longer than their 14 week to wake them up in succession so they don't all bloom at once?
Normally, we don’t bring them inside. The only reason we did this year is because our heaters couldn’t keep up with the deep freeze in early January. We want to do some trials with cold stratified bulbs for 2025, so I would wait for that video. We don’t have the timing figured out 100% yet. Still learning!
So glad to see you back!! So planting the tulips in crates, then you leave them outside and when would you be bringing them in to have them blooming for Valentine’s Day? Also how deep do you plant in crates and how much soil on top? Thanks for sharing your excitement with us 😊

Can you use anything else aside from potting soil in the crates? My amish suppier is low on bales of potting soil. Thanks. Love your videos
We’ve used everything from garden soil, to compost mixes, to potting soil. Typically, I actually prefer a mix of the three.
Thanks for the reply. i know you are busy @greenbeefloralco
Just saw your video. Thanks for sharing. Can I email you with questions regarding the timing to bring them inside? I am in Zone 6A.

Hi, how do you stop the soil from falling out through the sides and bottom?
Pack it in well, or use old newspaper or cardboard around the outside. :)
@@greenbeefloralco thank you. Will give that a shot next time 😀
Which types tulips did you force?
We forced about 20 varieties - a mixture of singles, doubles, and peony varieties, as well as 250 hyacinths.
Do you have a source you can share for those crates?
The crates are what our fall bulbs are shipped in. You can likely find them at any garden centre.
Where in the World were u?
Just really busy and a little burnt out. I'll post a video about the summer soon.
So glad to see you back!!
