Hi, after i disassembled my Projector (to clean it and check the fans), i had the same problem with the Heatlamp. It was easy to fix: Be sure to close the plastic Lamp cover on the bottom and the filter cover. I dont know the mechanism behind this, but if you had the temp problem, it could be a chance to search the problem on this parts too. (Epson TW-1000 - nearly the same like this.)
Nice video-I have repaired a lot of Epson projectors in that model line when I worked on them over 4 years ago. Always found bad CF motor assys. causing that problem. If you are highly skilled you can repair the cracked gear inside the motor assy.If the unit comes on you can find the errors logged in the service menu error log too.
I have the 1000 looks mostly the same on the inside checked everything out like the video shows no issues found. I found a repair manual that told me how to get in the service menu and the codes it is showing is for lamp burnout problem is its a brand new lamp is there a way to test the lamp to see if its defective it seems to work for 5-30 min before shutting down?
@dantubez im saving issues opened it up changed the lamp still getting red light isit possible you can help me to know what exactly is the issue i have lost the filter cover could that be the case?
Thanks for this video. gave me the confidence that I might have a chance. My warning lights both start flashing red as soon as the main fan kicks on. I'm thinking there are some bad sensors on my Powerlite 8350. ?
@Bhadwa Modi I took the entire thing apart and wasn't able to gain access to the temperature sensor that was all the way buried by the light. So I have a heap of trash currently. With a brand new lighting fixture. But no way to get the thing fixed.

I got an old EMP-TW680 as a gift and it works too, but the previous owner was a heavy smoker^^ so I see a lot of nicotine inside when I opened it:/ sorry for my English:p dear greetings from Germany
Hi, I have the exact same problem. I checked both sensors and they are at about 12K ohm. Tried to add weld as well as you did but didnt help. Buf if you meassure on the connectors and not on the transistor and you have like 12K resistence why should you have to reweld them?, they are indicating that they are working? So Im a bit supprised your welding fixed the issue? Please explain :) Great video :)
I suppose that's just the nature of an intermittent solder joint fault. I should have put the microscope on these joints, but it didn't occur to me at the time. Has been working fine since. Is your unit's problem intermittent?
Really great video, this was so helpful and gave me hope for my beloved projector! Thanks to your tips I found out that one of the fans was not working and replaced it with (hopefully) equivalent one from the same brand (original is NMB 3110KL-04W-B49 I have put 3110KL-04W-B59). Unfortunately it still does not turn on, the temp/light LED is slowly flashing. Any tips? I have (found the courage to) put back all the screws, because it may have not been "done" and accessing that fan is a pain ... is that an obvious reason for the projector to not turn on?
I have a problem with my Epson TW700. First I got a warning on the screen saying I need to change lamp. I then bought a new lamp, still this warning appears everytime I started the projector. Now the projector directly start blinking red when I turn it on and no picture appears. I took the whole thing apart and cleaned everything from dust including motherboard and every little part. Now I don't know what else to do. Is there any way to figure out what's wrong with my projector? I would appricate any kind of tips and would be so incredibly greatful if anyone has any idea what could be wrong. Thanks
I opened my pro to clean it and then red light is on I open it agine to check all is good all fans working I removed motherboard still same I give up 😢
When you test the fans "from the power supply" you mean from an external power supply I guess? If so what voltage do you apply to test the various components? Sorry I am sure it is totally obvious for most :-)
