Reasons why I want to learn how to sew my own clothes: 1.) knowing I made my own stuff that's both fashionable and functional is amazing 2.) my sense of fashion isn't common so it's hard to find it without spending too much money 3.) Bernadette Banner enlightened me how sewing should be a vital skill (and it really should be) and how thrifting and making your own creations saves this dying method and helps the environment compared to the wastefulness of fast fashion. 4.) Modern fashion can be so simplistic, boring and often rushed (bc it needs to be made fast for consumers) so making clothes with my own touch and sense of style would be great
Do you order most of the fabric from Amazon/ Etsy or do you buy from fabric shops? If so which ones? Love love love this btw! You litterally INSPIRE me! I have had my sewing machine put away for a year until I saw your vids! ❤️
I do a ton of ordering from Etsy! I don’t have many fabric shops here, so I often make due with Walmart fabrics or other cloths (like bedsheets or blankets). I love lacejamilla on Etsy, they are in China and they are a great shop! Divastyletextiles on Etsy is also a really good shop in Los Angeles and so is stitch love studio (great for bra making supplies)
Do you think you could do a tutorial on how you make the design of the dress for the strawberry/pineapple one please? I would LOVE to have a strawberry dress like that in my wardrobe!
