      most true thing I've ever heard. the whole brady cliff fiasco came perfectly true with rodgers. and it was actually obvious, even outside of hindsight. brady's best traits are his brain, mental toughness, leadership, perfect pre-snap understanding, and other intangibles. those didn't deteriorate off a cliff with age. those are rodgers WORST traits. he's actually bottom 3 in the league with intangibles. so he relies on talent and a pretty ball, which fell off a cliff.
      anyone could've seen this a mile away... except max I guess!

      But they're true. Rodgers was likely throwing passes during practice, as he imagined himself being sent to Russia and Ukraine to discuss a peace agreement. For the rest of the league, the only thing that matters on game 1, is football.

      Agreed.
      Hire Mr Jet Rex Ryan and give him at least one season with Aaron Rodgers, those two backs, and that solid defense.
      Draft a qb with the 1st rd pick.
      Give A Rod 10-12 games to see if he can succeed as more of a game manager and keep The Jets in playoff contention.
      After 10-12 games if The Jets are similar to this season, go with the rookie the rest of the way.
      If Rex Ryan comes in you can say goodbye to Nathaniel Hackett and his offensive influence(which had Russell Wilson looking exactly the same way as Rodgers does now)
      Run the ball, play solid defense, limit turnovers, qb makes the occasional great throw or two.....
      Rodgers can still win games.

    NFL people, almost universally, respect Aaron Rodgers as a football player, and as a teammate.
    While clowns who have never done anything on a football field, nor have ever been a champion, or the best at their vocations, have no clue about why Aaron Rodgers still commands respect across the NFL.

    The last time Rodgers was an elite QB in the NFL was when Deshaun Watson was still considered elite. Why do we automatically assume Deshaun who’s significantly younger can not turn it around but Rodgers can. I’m not advocating that I think Deshaun can turn it around. I’m saying neither should be seen as being able to turn it around.

    • @sammyslam1
      @sammyslam1 8 днів тому +2

      I think both are struggling mentally.
      I have a little more faith in Rodgers, with the right head coach having success next season.

      I still see competitive fire in Rodgers.

    • @Puckett.
      @Puckett. 8 днів тому

      @ I think it’s fair to say Rodgers is more motivated for successful than Deshaun. Deshaun seems to have just accepted the fact he’s the most unlikable player in the NFL and it’s not even for how he plays it’s him personally that people don’t like. What’s Deshaun really have to play for? Even if he were to turn it around and be elite again, He’s never going to the HoF, he’s never going to be seen as the face of a franchise, he’s already got multi millions and I doubt he’ll ever get trusted with that kind of contract ever again. The only real motivation is personal competitiveness but I don’t think that’s enough. I really don’t know what the rest of his career is going to look like. He’s been to good in the NFL for absolutely no team to take a chance on him but he’s always going to be seen as the Gardner Minshew type QB where when every other team gets their QB and one team is still trying to figure it out that’s where Deshaun will go.

    Anyone who really understands football knows that going with another QB and benching Rodgers is the decision that makes sense. If the season is over, why not at least experiment with Tyrod Taylor? I think the Jets are a better team with Taylor at QB anyways. Why not try to get some momentum and positivity going into the offseason?
