Wright has a point; if his heart doesn't burst under the immense load of all that fat and plaque, Reid might just overtake Belichick's record. (It just occurred to me that Wright has repeatedly criticized Siriani for non-coaching behavior without ever speaking a word about Reid's immensity, and the message that sends about self-discipline, self-respect, etc.)

Wright loves his "will eventually be" stuff the way a kid loves his woobie. Tiger Woods was "on pace to" bla bla bla, how'd that turn out? And Woods wasn't looking at a statistical life expectancy of like 18 months.

Thats rhw magic of a great offensive coach and Reid is the best of them all. They inflate stats. Mahomes, Smith, washed Vick, McNabb were not as good as their statlines suggest.
We saw it in 2018 w Trubisky. 3rd in QBR while Matt Nagy with that Reid scheme was the playcaller.
Yeah we for real for real
Belichik might be the reason Jc Jackson got 9 picks instead of 3 therefore he had better stats than superior CBs

The dust has more or less settled on the Patriots dynasty, and it sure looks like the key factor was Brady over literally anyone else in the organization, including Bill. I can understand most NFL owners not wanting to hand him the keys to their Mercedes or even Miata, when the last time we saw Bill driving, he was clambering out from underneath a totaled Lambo that he wrapped around a lightpole.

To his blessed eternal detriment. 😂😂😂😂 This move should have been a no-brainer. But jerry does not want to hear how close Bill gets to being the coach with the most wins over his own voice every week. If nothing else, this man is consistent. He blew up the 90's run out of pride and arrogance and now he repeats history. It could not happen to a worst/better franchise. Thank you Jerry for the years of tears you leave your fanbase with and the smiles you give to everyone else in the division. Kudos sir on the non-hire.

Andy has shown that he can win games no matter the talent. He was winning games with Todd Pinkston at WR in Philly. He had the likes of Donnie Avery, Junior Hemmingway, AJ Jenkins, and the corpse of Dwayne Bowe in KC. Andy calls plays and bases his offense with whoever he has available. That is what puts him in the upper echelon of NFL coaches. He has one of the best coaching trees ever as well.

Their paths werent the same, you can say Bill won with an without a star at QB but Andy didnt. Andy needed the "player with the best start to a career", and definetly one of the best QBs we have ever seen, to get him those SB wins. And even then, when Brady was on the Patriots, they were stil the team to beat, stopping KC from geting to the SB in a head-to-head.

Something that doesn't get asked in these debates that I find a fascinating question: which QB carried the dynasty more, Brady or Mahomes? It really feels like Mahomes has carried Andy into the GOAT convo. But Brady won 3 SBs with Bill carrying him with defensive dominance. The NFL has trended towards offense-friendly rules in the last 15 years and Andy has benefited greatly. Bill is still the guy who flattened the 99 and 17 Rams with powerhouse offenses.
I find it interesting that Bill dominated the end of the 'defensive' era of the NFL and Andy is dominating the beginning of the 'offensive' era.

A head coach is as good as his qb, and a qb is as good as his head coach.
You need at least the two of them to be continuously great.
Belichek struggled without a good qb.
Brady went from belichek to Arians, but when Arians left things weren’t so hot.
That shows it’s a combination that you need to have a great qb and great coach and work together to create a good team.

Head Coaching, today, in the NFL is about resume, offensive play calling, and being a leader of men
Head Coaching, today, in college is about recruiting, personality, and relating to young people.
NFL coaching is way more difficult, because NFL players have already made it. Now, you have to get them to care. College players will do anything to get to the NFL, so the coach has much more leverage.
