  • Thank you for joining us today to take a look at this great Ford Explorer SUV!
    Complete review and walkaround. I bought this from a coworker after the mice and rats had chewed their way through various engine bay wires. It needs a good cleaning and some updates but I think there’s still life in this old truck. Come along for the ride. I appreciate your subscription! Hope you enjoy! #ford #explorer #suv #reviews

      I heard a few times that the V8 is even a little better on gas than the V6. Can you attest that?

    I own a 2006 explorer v8 4x4 190000k everything still works perfect. Just keep up on all maintenance. One weird thing is a failing coil pack will interfere with the PCM communicating with the TCM on the v8. The wiring harness travels near the coil packs on passenger side. Simply replace coil packs. Car has nice ride 20 mpg highway with v8. Great video

    Enjoyed this video- shame about the mice! I have a 2006 XLT Eddie Bauer- the 4.6 V8 version and I love it. We exported ours to Hungary and parts are a challenge. It’s a lovely car to drive though and I wouldn’t want to part with it.

    Nice ride though. I sat once in one. They are just a hand wighth wider inside than a 2010 Escape.

      I haven’t even gotten back to the Explorer in months. If the rain ever stops we’ll get back to it and get the remaining issues tackled.

    Just bought same thing like you a 2006 Ford Explorer with one problem there's no dipstick for the transmission, How can you check the transmission if it has no Dip stick to Check it!!!!!

    • @GregsCarport
      @GregsCarport  Рік тому +1

      They don’t have a dipstick for the transmission. 🤬 You have to check it from under the truck. I would recommend you search here on UA-cam for 2006-2010 ford explorer transmission fluid level. Thank for stopping by!
