As a 68-year-old lifelong Pennsylvania resident who has seen most of the state by car, I did not know about the Howard Tunnel or the Staple Bend Tunnel. The Columbia-Wrightsville span over the Susquehanna River was a covered bridge. I live not too far away from the Lehigh Tunnel and I do remember well when it was a single-tube tunnel and the traffic congestion at certain times of the day and year.
There is an awesome and unique old railroad tunnel in southwestern Pennsylvania called the Big Savage Tunnel. It’s over 3000 feet long and part of the Great Allegheny Passage Trail.
You forgot the old Laurel Hill Tunnel on the turnpike, just east of Pittsburgh. I don't know if it still exists, but was there. All the remaining tunnels on the turnpike are now twin tubes --- Blue Mountain, Kittatinny Mountain, Tuscarora Mountain, and Allegheny Mountain. Allegheny was the original twin tube.
How about the underground Subway tunnels in Lancaster PA? Across the street from where Woolworth used to be on Queen St. , there is an entrance that is blocked, preventing from anyone going down into those tunnels. I haven’t been around that area in a while, but might have to take a walk again to see what’s there. I’m highly familiar with Lancaster City. Arounf the corner from the Central Market. Also, I used to work at House of Pizza on W. Chestnut St and the historical elevator they have in there, looks like it was connected to a tunnel but now it’s used to store food.
There's an old railroad tunnel in Columbia, PA on the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail. Just about a half mile from the beginning of the trail in Columbia, excellent paved bicycle and hiking trail. There's an old smelting furnace a little farther along the trail too.
At 2:00 - "Sus-kee-hanna River? LOL. You need to research your pronunciation a bit more. As any native Pennsylvanian knows, it's pronounced "Sus-qwa-hanna." But other than that, very good presentation.
Do the abandoned train tunnels in South Western PA and north Eastern WV. You may actually have to go there because their isn't much info out there on the web.
They aren't "secret". They were Philly, Pittsburgh and twenty other cities SUBWAY SYSTEM abandoned right after WWII. The Pennsylvania RR used the "underground" with electric locomotives for a VERY brief period. You didn't get in them! They were blocked with tons of cement, just like 400+ miles of abandoned NYC subway tunnels.
Wut? The little known secret to the Lehigh valley tunnel is that ventilation ventilates? 🤨 But also, definitely calling 476 interstate four hundred and seventy six from now on.
@@travelawaitsyou No, they are unknown to many people who are not PA residents. Secret implies that they are known to only a few who are trying to keep them hidden from everyone else, in other words, clickbait.
@travelawaitsyou these are all well known ... very very well known places. Zero secrets here. Dang and to use one that's in current use and refer to it as a secret.... COME ON MAN.

It does in fact still exist. And it is in use, not as a road tunnel but as an aerodynamic testing facility for Chip Ganassi Racing.
