i need help, i just download Adobe illustrator on my windows hp laptop and notice this program doesnt have the option composition so looks alittle diferent i want to know if i have load the wrong program

In my case... there is no add button for adding trim paths... what am I supposed to do? (8:05)
I have tried to download the source files that you have provided in the link. However, I waited ten minutes for the source files to be delivered to my email, and I still haven't received the source files for this tutorial.
Using My own single layer Logo and everything is fine to when I split the layer. When I want to do the trim path there is no option to add, so I can keyframe. What might be the issue here please

Thank you for the tutorial. I followed the steps to download the template, but the link that appears in my inbox leads to a dead link =(
Also, when following along, I couldn't get past the "stroke" instructions. My "stroke" box has a question mark in it. Even if I choose "solid color" and a stroke width, when I choose "enter" the question mark comes back and no stroke is added. Any clues?
@@mattalber You have to make sure all the layers in the illustrator file have the fill in and strokes enabled. Then import the illustrator file to After Effects. Now when you increase the stroke size of the logo in After Effects , you will see the outlines of the logo.

When I apply vegas to my letters, it gives me the doubled the effect. I dont know how to describe it, it makes not one outline but dual outline, from both outside and inside of the path of the letter. What am i doing wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong! The vegas effect will give that result and will be more obvious on some logos than others! Once you add the glow effects this shouldn't be noticeable or, if you go to the vegas effect settings for your layer, go into the rendering tab, there is an option called "width" if you increase this slightly it will give the appearance of one thicker outline rather than two thinner ones! I think both options can give you a good result!

Try changing the speed in the playback settings for this video. At 0.75x you should be able to follow along just fine. If you go down to 0.5x speed it's like listening to a drunk person explaining After Effects :)

On your logo in Illustrator; make sure you have a Fill & Stroke set before you import to After Effects
I think you deleted the file from the google drive that is why it shows 404.
