I know it is sudden but it is pretty famous (?) that Yui loves "Karen Girl's". Why does Yui like Karen Girl's so much? I don't think I have talked about it in detail. So today I will talk about Karen Girl's. When Karen Girl's were active, Yui was in the 3rd grade. Our family is friends with Ayami-chan for some time. When we heard Ayami-chan was going to be in Karen Girl's our whole family cheered them on. Shortly after Karen Girl's debuted, Yui's family got suddenly ill. At that time it was life threatening illness. I was still in 3rd grade, and I was in shock. I went to the hospital everyday, but being in elementary school, I was not allowed into the ICU. I was so worried. Everyday I waited in the waiting room. The doctors said "Lets play music you listen to all the time". At that time "song we listen to all the time = Karen Girls", so we played Karen Girl's. Yui could not see them in the waiting room, but I was praying for the safety listening to Karen Girl's. In the car between the trips to the hospital we almost did not listen to anything else besides Karen Girl's. The lyrics "So I will not lose, Tomorrow Lets go"... I can't tell you how much they cheered me on. At that time I could not see the future and it was bleak. During that time the Karen Girl's songs, gave Yui courage and gave me "POWER"! That is why I like Karen Girl's a lot. I wanted my family members to be happy when they got out of the hospital, I played "over the future" in slow motion, slowly watching the DVD hundreds of time practicing the dance routine. The next year in march was the finale concert. The moment I was able to go with everyone in my family, felt like a dream come true... I was so happy... so happy. I was so happy during the show I was copying the dance the whole time LOL. At that time everyone was saying how difficult it was going to be, and that I should quit working. That is what I thought as well, but when I went to see Karen Girl's and was given that "Power". From then on, words out of my mouth was "I want to be a Karen Girl's" to both family and manager. (LOL) I feel singing and Dancing is wonderful. You get power to feel better. If you are sick now, someone you love is sick, even if you are not sick, but have something troubling you, or when you are lonely... It would make me happy to think that maybe listening to Sakura Gaukin or BABY METAL, or watching the DVD is sending you that Power to make you feel better. So that is why Karen Girl's is very special. So in "Legend D" being able to sing Over the Future with Su-chan was the moment my dreams came true. Today I turn 15. Yui will pull all her feelings into singing the best I can, waiving the legendary black hair, gracefully violently, dancing with all my soul. And I don't want to take for granted being healthy and laughing each day, I am grateful and I will treasure each day.
Yeah, it is an Anime intro. If you think about it, Japan produces 1000's of Anime per year and all those shows need music. The cheapest way to get cheap music is to hire 9-10 year old girls to do it.
Over the Future played an unexpected pivotal role in BM development: Koba focused on SU after listening to her singing this song live, YUI decided to be an idol after this song helped her living through a bad moment in her life, MOA and YUI entered Sakura Gakuin with Over the Future as their first test. Karen Girl's was formed in 2008 and introduced as Perfume's little sister, their songs were also part of the anime series "Zettai Karen Children" (aka Psychic Squad) and Over The Future was the opening theme until the series ended. The group disbanded in 2009 along with the series. Members: Ayami Muto, the one with the two pig tails, another founding member of Sakura Gakuin, she's older than Suzuka and currently got her solo career and active in social media. Yuika Shima, not sure what she's currently doing but she could have been part of SG foundation when started but sadly she couldn't reach for personal issues, later she was still involved in another idols group and was a big supporter of SG and BM, iirc last 10BMY Budokan 2021 livestream she was excited sharing those moments. Suzuka Nakamoto, well i think you already know this little 10 yo Su-chan when this MV came out, also the story about the moment she was met by KobaMetal during their final concert and amazed with her stage presence and talent. Karen Girl's sang the music for the anime Zettai Karen Children, this was the theme song. When the anime ended, the group disbanded. SG was formed, and all three girls were invited to be founding members of Sakura Gakuin. Yuika did not accept as travel was too far, Su and Ayami did. This song looms large in the legends of Babymetal. Karen Girl's is what inspired Yui to become an idol, and Moa and Yui performed this song as there audition for SG. Kobametal saw a performance of KG and thought Su should be unlimited, and came up with the concept of Babymetal.

Happy New Year, GMG! 'Over the Future' is the main theme song for the anime, '絶対可憐チルドレン (Zettai Karen Chirudoren, Definitely Cute Children)' (based on the Manga by Takashi Shiina (椎名高志)). The 'Karen Girl's (可憐ガールズ)' seems to have been chosen and formed by the audition to match the three main characters in the anime. The anime aired for a year in 2008 on TV Tokyo, so Su- was in the 5th grade of elementary school at the time, I think from 10 to 11 years old. The others than Su-, the pigtailed girl is Ayami Muto (武藤彩未), who later became one of the founding members of Sakura Gakuin with Su- in 2010, and the first student council president. Ayami and Su- have been inspired each other since Karen Girl's days, and are said to be one of the Su-'s best friends. And she is currently working steadily as a solo singer. The tallest girl is Yuika Shima (島ゆいか), who did not join Sakura Gakuin, but is now working as an actress who belongs to Amuse. Karen Girl's had released only one album with a total of seven songs. I would not call that the beginning as do not forget from 7/8 she was in ASH (Actors School Hiroshima) and there are many videos on UA-cam of her doing shows from that age, both solo and performing with her older sister Himeka (aka Himetan) in their group Tween. You're right about the anime reference. Karen Girls was a group created by Amuse to sing songs for the anime series, Zettai Karen Children. Don't ask me what the show was about; I have no idea. I think Su was about 10 at this time, since Karen Girls was where Kobametal first saw Su and was impressed by her vocals and stage presence, and the rest is history....
Very short summary of the show: girls with special powers need to safe the world/keep the world safe from evil. The Karen Girl's song mentioned something about 'limiter', this was part of the anime, the girls would have a limiter on them to control their powers.

Yes you are right, this was for an anime :D "Karen Girls" was founded in 2008 to sing songs for the anime "Zettai Karen Children", and was disbanded about 1 year later, after the show ended. The video was from 2009, so SU would have been 11yo, and the other 2, Muto Ayami and Yuika Shima were 1 year older. If you are any interested, Muto Ayami entered Sakura Gakuin together with SU in 2010, and she has now some interesting solo work! She was SG first class president, a really bright and funny girl :D First time I saw this video, I was quite shocked in finding out SU had a mole, i never noticed it before! In some closeup picture, you can still see it in later years, covered with makeup! At the last Karen Girl's show, bot Yui and Koba were there. Koba was there since first generation Mini Pati also performed there, and was shocked on how strong SU voice was and by her stage presence! Can you believe it? He saw SU performing this, and thought: "SHe would be a fantastic Metal Frontwoman"! How much of a visionary you have to be to catch something like that? it always blows my mind!! 🤣🤣

The creation of young girl groups is fairly common in Japan for Anime series. Two of the last graduates (Kokona and Yume) from Sakura Gakuin (which of course Suzuka and Ayami were also in) are currently in Onipans and perform songs, etc as well as being voice actresses for the series.
I don't think it was Su. Yui knew Ayami Muto. Her application to Sakura Gakuin was only for fun. She was in the practice group before Sakura Gakuin was formed. From what I've heard Yui was a core member of Sakura Gakuin from the very beginning. But you aren't wrong She was inspired by Karen Girls. I think the 'application' by Yui and Moa is very interesting. Yui is in Ayami Muto's spot and Su's spot is empty. They left it open for her? They probably knew at this point they'd be doing Babymetal with Su? Am I reading too much into it? Did they dance it like that because Su had danced it with them earlier?

Ayami Muto is one of the other two and she was one of the original members of Sakura Gakuin alongside Su. She's a solo artist today and I've started listening to her music too. It's pop music, but I really like many of her songs. Her latest album is called "glitter beat", which has an 80s feel to it. She's also a really fun and dependable person. Sakura Gakuin has been a great entry port for me into the Japanese music industry, from which I branch out by following the members. I'm quite upset they disbanded, the pandemic ruined so much.

Yes Su started her career at age 5 placing in the top two of a contest to find child models for Jewel Drop cosmetics (I believe cosmetics). She was selected for entry into Actor’s School Hiroshima at age 8 (pretty sure on the age). Karen Girls was most likely her first professional job entering at age 9, but finishing at 10 (pretty sure). Many people miscalculate her age as she was born so late in December of 1997. So here is my trick for simplified math. Add to years, to whatever the current year is and you’ll be correct except for the last 11 days. For example in 20(22), Su was 22+2, or 24 years old until 20 December, when she turned 25. I enjoyed this.
Anybody ever wondered what happened to Su's mole on her upper lip? She also got her teeth done too what a shame. Didn't need to do all that. She's already so beautiful. 🤘
I think it's wonderful that your expression when you talk about Suu-chan is warm hearted kind and look so happy. When listening to or talking about Babymetal, most people have a kind and good expression. why? The personalities of Su chan, Moa-chan, Yui-chan, the Avengers(Riho/Kano/Momoko)and the members of the Kami Band are also wonderful. Plus, everyone on the Babymetal team are really great people. If I had to pick one, it would be Mikiko Mizuno/choreographer. Even our anxiety becomes happy and we cry and laugh.We love that!

For me, BABYMETAL is an extension of this and an idol group. I was more into anime and manga than the general public, but I'm not bound by them. Yes, I can understand their abilities and charms, but I'm rather unfamiliar with rock and metal, so I don't really understand the appeal of BABYMETAL. Ah, for some reason I'm a BAND MAID fan right now.
It's been removed several times if I remember right. Keeps coming back. She did cover it some in BM...if you look close in some of the concerts/live videos and pictures you can make it out when the light hits right. I think they've gotten it permanently now.
@@GlassMoonGaming No problem. Think she looked fine with it. BUT they tend to remove them in Japan due to the high cancer rate. She IS from Hiroshima, so the Japanese tend to keep an eye on moles and the like a lot more than most places.

Karen Girl's was formed in 2008 and introduced as Perfume's little sister, their songs were also part of the anime series "Zettai Karen Children" (aka Psychic Squad) and Over The Future was the opening theme until the series ended.
The group disbanded in 2009 along with the series. Members: Ayami Muto, the one with the two pig tails, another founding member of Sakura Gakuin, she's older than Suzuka and currently got her solo career and active in social media. Yuika Shima, not sure what she's currently doing but she could have been part of SG foundation when started but sadly she couldn't reach for personal issues, later she was still involved in another idols group and was a big supporter of SG and BM, iirc last 10BMY Budokan 2021 livestream she was excited sharing those moments.
Suzuka Nakamoto, well i think you already know this little 10 yo Su-chan when this MV came out, also the story about the moment she was met by KobaMetal during their final concert and amazed with her stage presence and talent.

Karen Girl's sang the music for the anime Zettai Karen Children, this was the theme song. When the anime ended, the group disbanded. SG was formed, and all three girls were invited to be founding members of Sakura Gakuin. Yuika did not accept as travel was too far, Su and Ayami did. This song looms large in the legends of Babymetal. Karen Girl's is what inspired Yui to become an idol, and Moa and Yui performed this song as there audition for SG. Kobametal saw a performance of KG and thought Su should be unlimited, and came up with the concept of Babymetal.

Happy New Year, GMG! 'Over the Future' is the main theme song for the anime, '絶対可憐チルドレン (Zettai Karen Chirudoren, Definitely Cute Children)' (based on the Manga by Takashi Shiina (椎名高志)). The 'Karen Girl's (可憐ガールズ)' seems to have been chosen and formed by the audition to match the three main characters in the anime. The anime aired for a year in 2008 on TV Tokyo, so Su- was in the 5th grade of elementary school at the time, I think from 10 to 11 years old. The others than Su-, the pigtailed girl is Ayami Muto (武藤彩未), who later became one of the founding members of Sakura Gakuin with Su- in 2010, and the first student council president. Ayami and Su- have been inspired each other since Karen Girl's days, and are said to be one of the Su-'s best friends. And she is currently working steadily as a solo singer. The tallest girl is Yuika Shima (島ゆいか), who did not join Sakura Gakuin, but is now working as an actress who belongs to Amuse. Karen Girl's had released only one album with a total of seven songs. I would not call that the beginning as do not forget from 7/8 she was in ASH (Actors School Hiroshima) and there are many videos on UA-cam of her doing shows from that age, both solo and performing with her older sister Himeka (aka Himetan) in their group Tween. (Himeka of course was later was 1 st generation member of Nogizaka46).

You're right about the anime reference. Karen Girls was a group created by Amuse to sing songs for the anime series, Zettai Karen Children. Don't ask me what the show was about; I have no idea. I think Su was about 10 at this time, since Karen Girls was where Kobametal first saw Su and was impressed by her vocals and stage presence, and the rest is history....
Very short summary of the show: girls with special powers need to safe the world/keep the world safe from evil.
The Karen Girl's song mentioned something about 'limiter', this was part of the anime, the girls would have a limiter on them to control their powers.

"Karen Girls" was founded in 2008 to sing songs for the anime "Zettai Karen Children", and was disbanded about 1 year later, after the show ended. The video was from 2009, so SU would have been 11yo, and the other 2, Muto Ayami and Yuika Shima were 1 year older. If you are any interested, Muto Ayami entered Sakura Gakuin together with SU in 2010, and she has now some interesting solo work! She was SG first class president, a really bright and funny girl :D
First time I saw this video, I was quite shocked in finding out SU had a mole, i never noticed it before! In some closeup picture, you can still see it in later years, covered with makeup!
At the last Karen Girl's show, bot Yui and Koba were there. Koba was there since first generation Mini Pati also performed there, and was shocked on how strong SU voice was and by her stage presence! Can you believe it? He saw SU performing this, and thought: "SHe would be a fantastic Metal Frontwoman"! How much of a visionary you have to be to catch something like that? it always blows my mind!! 🤣🤣

The creation of young girl groups is fairly common in Japan for Anime series. Two of the last graduates (Kokona and Yume) from Sakura Gakuin (which of course Suzuka and Ayami were also in) are currently in Onipans and perform songs, etc as well as being voice actresses for the series.

I don't think it was Su. Yui knew Ayami Muto. Her application to Sakura Gakuin was only for fun. She was in the practice group before Sakura Gakuin was formed. From what I've heard Yui was a core member of Sakura Gakuin from the very beginning. But you aren't wrong She was inspired by Karen Girls.
I think the 'application' by Yui and Moa is very interesting. Yui is in Ayami Muto's spot and Su's spot is empty. They left it open for her? They probably knew at this point they'd be doing Babymetal with Su? Am I reading too much into it? Did they dance it like that because Su had danced it with them earlier?

Ayami Muto is one of the other two and she was one of the original members of Sakura Gakuin alongside Su. She's a solo artist today and I've started listening to her music too. It's pop music, but I really like many of her songs. Her latest album is called "glitter beat", which has an 80s feel to it. She's also a really fun and dependable person. Sakura Gakuin has been a great entry port for me into the Japanese music industry, from which I branch out by following the members. I'm quite upset they disbanded, the pandemic ruined so much.

Yes Su started her career at age 5 placing in the top two of a contest to find child models for Jewel Drop cosmetics (I believe cosmetics). She was selected for entry into Actor’s School Hiroshima at age 8 (pretty sure on the age). Karen Girls was most likely her first professional job entering at age 9, but finishing at 10 (pretty sure). Many people miscalculate her age as she was born so late in December of 1997. So here is my trick for simplified math. Add to years, to whatever the current year is and you’ll be correct except for the last 11 days. For example in 20(22), Su was 22+2, or 24 years old until 20 December, when she turned 25. I enjoyed this.

I think it's wonderful that your expression when you talk about Suu-chan is warm hearted kind and look so happy. When listening to or talking about Babymetal, most people have a kind and good expression. why? The personalities of Su chan, Moa-chan, Yui-chan, the Avengers(Riho/Kano/Momoko)and the members of the Kami Band are also wonderful. Plus, everyone on the Babymetal team are really great people. If I had to pick one, it would be Mikiko Mizuno/choreographer. Even our anxiety becomes happy and we cry and laugh.We love that!

It's been removed several times if I remember right. Keeps coming back. She did cover it some in BM...if you look close in some of the concerts/live videos and pictures you can make it out when the light hits right. I think they've gotten it permanently now.
