FINALLY ! I have literally been looking everywhere for something like this. Keeps it looking stock and with tons of capability. Ordering mine very soon. Thanks for review.
I got it. I think the Grom unit goes through updates because there was a short period that it wasn’t connecting to my phone for the wireless CarPlay. It works smoothly now and I’m so happy I have it.
One thing to add for your viewers. Vline 2 works with Android Auto but at the moment you cannot make calls with it like you can with Apple carplay. The call will come up on screen but only comes out through your phone. Grom have not yet got it to work. So you have to use the OEM phone system for now and wait for a future update
@IceESole what do u mean it stopped working? Black screen? No audio....what to know something funny it happen in my 08 and all I did was palm punch my screen...I guess a connection in there was loose and that jammed it back in U won't break your screen
@zeuszerp9376 I had the water from ac condenser water in the floor boards in the car, and I think the humidity messed up my amp. Radio would come on and off and suddenly stop.
Hey thanks for sharing this! I just bought a '07 GS350 and I'm looking to do the same thing but I think I have a lesser head unit cuz I don't think I have an aux input shared with the CD button like you do, you wouldn't happen to know if that unit would still work would ya?
It would still work for non-aux 06/07 GS 350's as the Grom unit comes with its own microphone that you have to mount and connect to the unit. Pretty easy to do tbh. I would probably take apart the sunglass holder area and you will find the original Lexus BT mic there and you can foam tape (to reduce noise and vibration) right next to the factory one for a clean install and then route the wiring up and around the headliner to the side A pillar and then back to the glovebox where you install the Vline 2 unit. Hope this helped!
Nice video straight to the point? Now I can hook up a line out converter to the factory radio and add Subwoofers/Amp in the trunk. It will automatically take over the AUX screen through that input when it appears on your GS. Hope this helped!

Thanks for making this video. The interface looks so good on that screen. I’d like to know though, can you swipe to move around in the map?
You can but it works best when you’re not driving. I don’t think that’s intentional. It’s just that the tactility is not very sensitive.

Nothing. It is completely in addition to all that the system had before.
