I've been a die hard Seattle Seahawks fans since 1983 and I am use to them getting no respect but all that does is put a huge chip on all their shoulders. I am hoping this team shows them to have more respect for this team and I believe they will. I am excited and can't wait for this season either way it goes. We are going to have a Super Bowl team here, plus I am super excited for Mike MacDonald and the new coaching staff and scheme. Let's go!!! Go Hawks 🏈 💙 💚

I very much would like my favorite team to be given its due respect, but I can't say I'm too surprised at these rankings.
The Seahawks, at least from a national media perspective, have been a largely irrelevant and ignorable franchise the last few years.
With few exceptions, like Bucky Brooks or Robert Mays, I think the majority of the national media only has a cursory knowledge of the team. We are west of the Mississippi, after all. 🙄
I'm really looking forward to the Seahawks coming out and kicking some teams' asses this year, at least enough to make these ranking appear as asinine as we know they are.

We all know Brian didn’t show the rankings of kickers because he didn’t want Evan to know that the Tom Brady of kickers, Jason Myers, was #1 by an astonishing amount

Firstly, let’s hope to heck that these rankings are posted in the locker room. Secondly, go Jason Myers! Thirdly, please bring back the power round table with Rob Staton et al. And, BTW how many old fashioned’s do you think Rob consumed today after England squeaked out another win? 😂 Another great show to get us all riled up, thanks!

An interesting thought experiment that I don’t know the answer to. Would you rather have Witherspoon and Murphy or Carter and Someone else. I think it’s very very hard to beat Witherspoon and Murphy

So back in reality the Seahawks ranked 12th in sacks last year with Nwosu injured and since we have upgraded our starting ends to Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II and brought in the coordinator of the #1 defense in the NFL last year including total sacks at HC, but we got worse?

Bringing George Fant back should give us the depth we need at tackle to avoid the issues last year when Lucas and Cross missed multiple games. I feel the offense has enough depth to return us back to at least 2022 levels when Seattle was top 12.
The defense has more question marks. Can the front 7 produce enough pass rush while also not giving up too much on the run stop capability? Mafe is our best pass rusher, but he needs to be a 15-18 sacks per season guy and not just 9. Hankins is a big body who should help plug up the middle, but linebackers will have to help out too. We have a lot of faster, lanky guys who may not be the best run stoppers: Mafe, Taylor, Knight.
Nwosu, Hall, and Ceaser are larger frames, but then do we give up too much in pass rush when they are on the field? It seems we are going to be playing a lot of situational football on the defense with 5 or 6 guys being switched out each play. Offenses may be able to take advantage of our inability to make proper switches or take advantage of a vulnerable player when we do.

Another show with just great analysis. PFF seems to lack a lot of common sense.
Do they even give our defense players any consideration that they will be coached next year by a defensive genius that coach McDonald is reported to be?

Offseason power rankings mean absolutely nothing. This isn't pre-BCS college football with polls to determine titles. Media needs something to post in the July deadzone. And that gives pods something to talk about. In a couple months we'll see actual football and these rankings will mean even less.

The best way to interpret these rankings is:......Sports rankers are lazy so to they most wining teams and those with the most publicly and they start there with the rankings and rank down from there. Otherwise they would actually have to actually watch films. I can guarantee you that coaches and players know very well who DK, Woolen, Witherspoon and etc are. They don't throw to Woolens side of the field. They double team DK and they always know where Witherspoon is. All of a suppen, after a couple of years if bashing, Geno is the #1 underrated QB. They are lazy and uninformed

I know we're in the doldrums of the offseason, and I usually love the show but an hour of negativity about a ranking for a team that didn't play well last season was a bit too much for me. All good though, keep on keepin' on. ✌️

Thats because Geno is WEAK. We have no chance to win a pkayoff game with Geno as our QB starter.

My guy, while it looks like the Seahawks are moving in the right direction, the team is the definition of optimism and potential. They haven’t done anything, so prognosticators and fans outside of Seattle aren’t expecting them to do much in 2024.
With a first time head coach that’s gutted the team philosophy, and a first time offensive coordinator who has yet to call a play in the NFL, there’s a much greater chance that the team is a year away from truly competing at a high level. This is most likely an install year, where players and coaches learn on the fly.
You guys probably would’ve said the same thing about the Packers, Texans, Lions and Rams at this time last year. Actually everyone including myself thought the Rams would be a dumpster fire in 23, but they swept yall and made the playoffs. Outside of a handful of diehards, no one praised them last off season.
So chill out bro, I think the Seahawks will be a .500ish team this season, not horrible not exciting, just meh… but that’s probably where they should be.
And yall call Niners fans whiners. 😂 😂😂
