Battlefields tend to generate so much interest and feelings wherever they are throughout the world, but Omaha Beach is so poignant. The scale, levels of fear and courage, and importance of what happened there can be overwhelming. To see the distance from the waterline to the base of the cliffs or berms ... must have seemed like a hundred miles.

Dispite the sad history behind it, it is amazing to be there. I think people can not help and wonder how it was dificult back then.

@@dronefotography9388 Absolutely agreed, its unreal how huge the beach is at low tide, this video really helps show that. I will be releasing a recreation of Dog Green in Unreal, although my youtube has only old footage. This drone footage really helped and thank you!

You only covered the extreme western edge of Omaha beach in this clip. The American landings at OMAHA were actually spread along 5 miles of Normandy coast. Your drone footage only includes the "Charlie", "Dog White" and "Dog Green" sectors. You missed "Dog Red", "Easy Green", "East Red", "Fox Green" and "Fox Red" The American cemetery isn't 5km from Omaha it is directly behind the "Fox Green" sector where the part of the 1st Infantry Division landed.

I would like to go there. How do you get permission to make that fly with the drone? I will do it also. Thanks

Hi, according to the non-pro drone rules in france, you don't need a permission to fly there. You just need to make sure that you are alone because there is a lot of tourists. There is also an app called drone spot that will help on the places you can fly. i would advise to go at sunrise like i did. If you are not from France, and you use a "big" drone like phantom or mavic 2 read the new regulation. If you a
