Speed paints are really awesome. I use them to paint the bits of models that I just dont enjoy painting, particularly the 100 pouches on each space marine.
If you wanted to make this a little better while still keeping a simple color palette and using only speed paints you could add a dark grey for the mess tin on his back and use the leather color you used on the sling on the water bottle. The water bottle had a felt covering that was a brown color. These simple changes will help make the model more “correct”, but more importantly it’ll add a bit more color to the back side of the model, which is nice since you’ll mostly be looking at your own troops backs when you’re playing as they advance up the board.
This paint scheme looks great on these models. Ive got my germans to paint up after finally getting into bolt action (40k player) and looking forward to trying this game out . Would you do the whole platoon like this or mix it up and most of them all white? Or mix top and bottom half on models? If i ever took to have serious games would people frown upon us? I also feel like id be copying now as well maybe i go grey or green not blue but not quite the same. Anyway great looking models. Great content as always. Thanks.
You seem to be a Bolt Action guy, but I’d love if you could do a video on BA vs Flames of War. I’d like to hear your thoughts. I’m thinking about FoW because of the small scale.
Isn't it a little early to be painting the baddies? It's not even the middle of winter yet......
HA!
Tilki, you diabolical 😂
I feel like a snowy look to the base would go better with this although, you still did a great job 👍
Although not my cuppa tea, I love the ingenuity and artistic non-camouflage scheme!

Thanks for these. Really helps since I find painting kind of tedious and I just want to get them presentable for the tabletop

With experience I prefer to go from light color to darker one. this way you can overlap the lighter one under the darker color
Very good video well done brilliant 🤠🤠🤠

I’m guessing minor factions for v3 will be in a book you have to pay for.
This is great! I just need to find what speed paints I need for the American side of the starter box
That episode is coming next week!
@@MordianGlory Perfect, will look out for that!

I’ve played both and I prefer Bolt Action in very excited for 3rd Ed as it seems like they’ve done everything I dreamt of!
