Thats a great idea, to surprise yourself with music in that way. I have your Muse in my cd changer i found at the thrift and whenever it switches on, people ask about it
I’m still kinda reeling from the death of Donald Miller last week. He was sort of a friend. I met him, Don Dietrich and Jim Sauter when I finally saw Borbetomagus in ‘17. I chatted all weekend with the guys(it was the No Response Festival in Cinci) and then became FB friends. Had some great conversations. The condolences Donald sent when my cat was killed still mean a lot to me. I know you’ve shown “New York Performances” and the “Barefoot in the Head” album with Thurston. They meant so much more to me. To me, they were not noise, or free jazz. Influenced by everyone from Xenakis, AMM, to the Mothers of Invention. To me, everyone of their releases sounds different. And finally seeing Borbetomagus after 25 years of fandom was cathartic. There’s things in their sound that recordings have yet to fully capture. Long may you run, Donald Miller!
Shout out for the Ken Elliot & Kieran O’Connor’s projects; Second Hand , Seventh Wave, with Chillum & Fungus also being obscure iterations of the band. Great early synth !
Its unreal how we the US people are willing to turn a blind eye to social issues that don't directly affect the Other. "Their problem not mine" but its all the same land. 😔 anyway cheers 🤙🏼

Grew up near NOLA, Mardi Gras my whole childhood life. I agree, that music really only hits during carnival or like a crawfish boil or something.
Salute to Prince. One of popular music's true geniuses
True!
