Do you have participation grades for the students who are not actors?

I never mark participation. Everyone must be engaged and paying attention. They don't have to speak but they do have to be paying attention.

Is your courses able to be done as a mother and daughter. Some of my vocabulary is a2/b1 my Grammer is not a complete a2. My daughter is almost a complete a2. I cannot understand natives in conversation. I can understand 50-60% of childrens movies. I can speak mostly in Spanish without using English but I’m slow and choppy, I use work arounds and use all the words I know to describe what I’m trying to talk about. My question is will your course bring us to level b2. Which books would we start with?

Heather, my curriculum would be useful to you as support reading. You would find lots of compelling stories with questions in each book. I have three levels of books. Maybe you could benefit from level two on? my curriculum would take you to level two only if you are part of a classroom and someone else is guiding the storytelling process through comprehensible input. It is not meant to be used as a self-taught curriculum, but as I said before it would be great as supplemental reading.

Where do I find these books? And are they ordered by level? Because I have found TPRS libraries but the searches are kind of scattered and don't indicate well what difficulty a book is.

When did the actors learn the responses they are giving to Ms. Ramirez during the lesson? Did they learn it during the first two months of instruction or did she have them learn/memorize in the days prior to this lesson?

Hello Tarrah. The actors did not learn the responses before. They answered on the spot. I usually take three days in the storytelling process. This is day two. As you can see I have the main vocab that I am using projected on the board so I can refer to it while doing my circling. Before I start the story I ask the students who wants to be an actor. When I ask them questions they decide what they want to answer. If I want them to day an specific word, it is because I have it on the board so I point at it, but most of they they just come up with it using previous knowledge from previous stories. I don't do any memorizing in my class or prepare anything previous to the story. Everything happens on the spot and I let them surprise me.
