Hey Jay, love the videos. I'm currently thinking about moving to Dubai to work in the tech sector and was wondering if we could connect on LinkedIn. Thanks

Thanks again, Jay. Very useful information but I think compensations of $500k and above are rare even in the US and are more management than tech roles. Most people I know in senior tech positions at FAANG companies make around $200k-250k.

Good point! Depending on what you do, around L6+ total comp including stocks and bonuses can be well over $250k but you are right most don’t make that amount.

Dope video. I agree on the tech salaries in Dubai being lower now a days. Especially compared to 10+ years ago.
I think KSA is paying those high salaries now in tech. Especially with NEOM.

Thank you! You’re right the higher salaries are in KSA, but 40-50% of people I’ve spoken to would rather have the lifestyle of Dubai than live in KSA.

Even with the recent reforms Saudi isn't an appealing place to live. Moreover, I keep hearing its work culture is terrible, even worse than Dubai's. Saudi is a place where you'll atrophy rather than grow professionally.
