This should have more views. This is most professional and good looking home made pedalboard I've seen. Planning to build one myself except 14x24 and with some handles on the ends. Thanks for this.
Built one and everything worked out great!!! Very happy with my new pedalboard and very appreciative for the advice, especially the aluminum C channel.
Hey! Thanks to you I built my own pedalboard for less than 30€ (custom cut). It was a little more expensive because I used a sheet of acrylic instead of velcro as I was planning to use 3M Dual lock velcro! Next I will replace the acrylic with some formica to sandwich the plywood because the acrylic started to crack with a year of usage (near the wah pedal). Thank you!
One thing you can do is get a small sheet of black laminate which is a hard surface and glue it on the board instead of velcro. That way you could use dual lock velcro or you could use the bicycle chain loops to screw the pedals do the board. You can also use Stage Trix pedal risers on the back row if you make the board bigger. With the stageTrix pedal riser, you can route cable underneath the riser. If you had a row of risers on the back row, you could hide all your cables.
Thank you! I would guess between the plywood, hardware, C-channel, and the velcro material the cost comes out to about $35. However the can of spray adhesive I used was $13 so that puts you closer to $50. Once I got all the materials though I had enough to make 2 pedalboards.
Great video, great board! I just subscribed to your channel and I'd love it if you did the same and let me know what you think of the demos and tutorials I've put up using my own DIY pedalboard!

Good Luck. Tweet me a picture @merwinmusic once it is all done!

did this myself and just finished 2 boards today! super fun and turned out great, thanks Merwin :)
This looks great too! Really nice and compact and like you say, for something that you want to be able to throw into a backpack, this is perfect.
Glad I watched this. I was planning on using Loctite and just spreading it with a paintbrush. Spray adhesive sounds better, lol
Nice job, this looks just like Nels Cline's board (but smaller). Thanks.

Where can you get the black laminate from?
Any advice on a 4ft by 1ft pedal board with the wood being 1in thick? 😅
Very nice !!
Hey awesome video!!! What kind of blade are you using to get such clean cuts with the C-Channel
Love it! Thanks heaps!
Very cool!
What type of blade do you have on the miter saw that gave you such a clean cut?
When cutting 45 degree on the corners of the aluminum C channel, do add 1/8 of an inch to each corner?
How good or strong did the welds turn out?
Ringo Gingo not sure what you mean. There are no welds it is just screwed together.
Sorry I had been watching another video and wrote you by mistake.
idk if you mentioned this but what was the total cost of the project? great video!

which patch cables are you using?
Soldered Lava Cables.

1 mistake tho... it's the wrong unit of measure... dafuq is 1,7/8 inches? like 2-3 cm or what?..
