The blue “what the hell is that thing” is an automatic shutoff. If it detects a leak (flow outside of the normal) it will shut the 1/4 turn valve.
Turns out that the space around the boiler is a great place for your extra hangers. Who knew? 😂
The ol' screwdriver trick, I use that for transformers Thank you Steve for another vid J
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again y’all. 👍👍
It's a quicky mama !!
Quick and easy. Nice. I feel bad for people who own homes and can’t do simple stuff.
Or don't want to attempt it because their expertise may be that they are a surgeon, nurse, lawyer, or other field they know all about...I don't feel sorry for THEM. I'm grateful to have THEM as well...🙄
I wish people today were less intimidated by stuff like this and wanted to learn to fix things themselves - if you try and fail, fine, but don’t be afraid of it - get your hands dirty
Took me 2 weeks to fully understand every different kind of Boiler feed valve and pressure reducer valve and to be able to service and diagnose issues regarding them. Regular home owners dont have the time or patience to learn, and I dont blame them.
Not really, because to be able to do this sort of thing you need a lot of knowledge which most people don't have. Furthermore it could be dangerous in the respect that you could easily flood your property or start a fire.

yeah mate, tapping and opening and closing valves can really start a fire.
@@ursodermatt8809 I'm talking about in general, that's why in England you have gas safe engineers for boilers and part p electrical engineers for the electrics. It's illegal to touch it if you aren't qualified and there's very good reason.
@@leedrummond164
mate, did you actually watch and understand the video?
the youtuber was closing and then opening again that feed valve, what ever it is. which cleared an air lock. it is in the water circulation loop.
now, just doing a guess, even in england you do not have gas circulating in a hot water tank.
you are like making the argument to open a water tap you need a gas engineer to do that.
I really like your videos, I've learned so much! Thank you
We all love a quicky. Cool screwdriver tip!
Nice easy one for you Stevie
That's a nice looking basement.
An old school heating mechanic with 40 years of experience 👍.

Meatball! Cha-ching! Nice to get one every now and again.
Quick job. Give it the old how doin!
Hello Steve!
Unbelievable Cold Weather will do that
Can't believe the cost of B&G 100s, and McDonald Miller products, 47-2 feeders, Taco 007's ouch.
Quick and easy today mama!
Hey steve. Thanks for your channel brother. I got a question for you: i have an oil fired boiler. 5 zones wired into a taco relay. I am having my first floor zones temp climbing way past my thermostat setting. Gravity? Bad flow valve? It just started doing this. The pump is not energized but the temp climbs. Maybe its something simple?? Any thoughts?
Could be a bad flow check if each zone has its own pump or a bad power head or zone valve
check to make sure there is no voltage to circulator .. when tstat is off . if thats ok look into leaking flow check .. flow check should only open when circulator runs ..
Watts pressure valves are junk.
4:29 🐭 we have a helicopter
I didn’t hear anything out of the screwdriver lol
what was that thing up there, it looked a little qweer
DONT GO WOKEY ON US NOW
Some people put a screwdriver to their ear because they got a couple screws loose mama

@@stevenlavimoniere it was a joke Steve and I wasn't referring to you, but I won't take it personally and will continue to enjoy your videos. In a way I feel honoured you replied 😁
DONT POKE THE GRIZZLY BEAR
@@stevenlavimoniere Damn Steve, chill out. Who shit in your cheerios?
Just needed a little doucheroo! LOLOLOL!!! Shouldn't that valve that feeds water into the system as needed be replaced since it failed to work?
They use the boiler piping to hang up their clothes to dry.
So freaking what??? Just make sure you don’t do it!!! Stop being so judgement mental…..SMH
Quick and easy. That will be $149.99 please.
Hello steve
🍺🥃😐👍🏻
A little douche-a-roo solved it. @2:45
