Coincidentally, I just rebushed the damper rod holes on one of mine a couple months ago. Had a hard time finding the right size material (too big, too small, none just right). Ended up using synthetic suede that is marketed for music rack use. Shamefully inauthentic, but occasionally one must be expedient. BTW, felt is rarely seen on pianos of this era AFAIK. It's generally wool cloth of various sorts.
