She's like Chronixx little sister who watched her big brother for a long time and really wanted to be like him. And she practiced and practiced and he helped her a bit and finally something absolutely unique happened and paid it all off. She's grown even bigger. Best npr, best female voice and future for the entire genre! Big Up Koffee!
Kornel Kaczmarek yesss! Chronixx is my favorite reggae singer and then when I saw that he had a part to play in her being where she is now I’m like this makes so much sense!
@Star I think Chronixx was/is a big inspiration to Koffee but we all know she just greatness that's all. We know she dope but the truth is networking can get you far in addition to being musicaly gifted. 😄
I think it strikes a lot of people as strange to call Patwa (Patois) a language. Because it seems like a slang dialect. But it's been around for hundreds of years, and it has its own rules. I would say that even though it's mostly based on English, it's at least as different from standard English as Spanish is from Portuguese. And those two are called separate languages.
Top 3 Tiny desk EASILY!!! Koffee sounds as close to the actual songs as can be. Her breathing techniques are phenomenally impressive. And those background vocals are a perfect marriage. On repeat!
The energy flowing through the whole band is insane. I can’t stop coming back to this video. Incredible mixing from the NPR sound engineer, the crowd having a genuinely good time, and of course Koffee’s immaculate vibes. Looking forward to seeing her this August in London.

I saw her live in Philly when she opened for Daniel Caesar. She just brought this amazing energy to the place and her voice sounded just as perfect when she was dancing
Lucky!🌟
Did you know her before the show or was it your very first listen? 😊
Luckyyyyy
DEAR GRAMMYS, PUT UP MORE ARTISTS LIKE THIS PERFORMING DURING THE LIVE TELECAST instead of just "mainstream" artists.

Don't go to Jamaica, you won't return home....lol
@@coachielala RIGHT!🤣
Wow, this band loves playing together. So many little smiles and glances going around.
Maybe it's because they (keyboardist, drummer, and bassist) grew up together in Ghana and are actually like brothers who have played together for years.
@@yawacheampongadjei7517 whats their band name?

I get really emotional listening to Koffee's Tiny Desk concert and I can't nail down why. There's a purity and a joy in this group that is just so honest.
It has the same effect as gospel music.
I got emotional too. It’s performed from the spirit, for the spirit. No frills, no ego, no ... oh I dunno. Can’t nail down why either. But I feel it.
She's got the spirit of God all over her , that's why! I feel it too 💯
If you observe all the band members. They are all into it. They are enjoying themselves. They are feeling the spirit.
yup when toast goes on 😭😭😭

This woman is so wholesome 🥺
She's like Chronixx little sister who watched her big brother for a long time and really wanted to be like him. And she practiced and practiced and he helped her a bit and finally something absolutely unique happened and paid it all off. She's grown even bigger. Best npr, best female voice and future for the entire genre! Big Up Koffee!
Kornel Kaczmarek yesss! Chronixx is my favorite reggae singer and then when I saw that he had a part to play in her being where she is now I’m like this makes so much sense!
I love your interpretation big up yourself! 😇😍😚
Maybe she's just dope all on her own, love Chronixx but why attribute her success and musical stylings to a man unless she said so?
@Star I think Chronixx was/is a big inspiration to Koffee but we all know she just greatness that's all. We know she dope but the truth is networking can get you far in addition to being musicaly gifted. 😄
Wow thats sick
Some people don't realize that these lyrics are not just some kind of playing around with English. This is the Jamaican language. It is real.
Echo Trip you mean patwa? 😂
Bless Roons - You can call it that if you like. But why laugh?
Patois
Echo Trip i was thrown off by “jamaican language”. There was no ill intention behind that laugh.
On repeat!
She is such a precious artist. I love her. I haven't been this excited and inspired by a recent artist. Please protect her soul.
The band has great chemistry. They look like they're having the best time.
I thought they were smiling like they made the best decisions in their lives 😂

She is so FULL OF GRATITUDE. She said THANK YOU more than a million times in the course of this short tiny desk performance . Awesome HEART
The energy flowing through the whole band is insane. I can’t stop coming back to this video. Incredible mixing from the NPR sound engineer, the crowd having a genuinely good time, and of course Koffee’s immaculate vibes. Looking forward to seeing her this August in London.
The version of Rapture on this is superior to all others 👌
Youngest reggae Grammy winner a rising queen indeed, she spitting bars
A moment of silence to people who won't come across this masterpiece concert😭😭

This something beautiful, good music
She’s just a breath of fresh air! I didn’t think anything could match up to “Toast” and then she dropped “W.” I listen to the song every morning !🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, I just said that... I like W, but Toast is still my #1
olive okafor me too on my way to work❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I didn't need more reasons to be proud to be Jamaican but Koffee really put the battery in my back over the last year. Big proud. No lie.
How long has she been doing music? Ppl who have been doing music almost their entire lives do not have the control she has with her breathing!!!
I love how humble she is!!
When I heard rapture she def had me then and there!
She was made for this!
I take that back she was CREATED for this!!
The energy within her & her band is so positive!!
I wish I could see her in concert!!!
maybe 2 years on the big scale
I was thinking the same thing! She’s very disciplined! 🔥
This rapture song is a massive song...you just gat to stop and listen
Maybe she had grown up in the Church or just be around her family who had taught her
She's 21 now and has been making music since 15 at least.
I'm not usually a reggae fan but her attitude, aptitude and the sheer quality of the band convinced me.
Love Koffee. She never disappoints. Also her braces looked good with her outfit, at first I thought they were grills 😂
I swear i did too lol
Tight band.
Backups lit and representing beautiful shades of black.
Koffee is excellent, such a professional, happy for her with all her successes.
Ms. Jack yessssss
She’s so humble aww
Her live voice quality, clarity, breath control and band had me ABSOLUTELY mesmerized...wish to experience her live some day🥰🙏🏽🦋
So humble. She reminds us to be humble. Blessings to her and her loved ones.
