The Vanquish Soul command input is hilarious for anyone that ever looked at a fighting game command list.

@@Ramsey276one It comes from the Tekken meme usually showing Kazuya who has a move (Electric Wind God Fist) that requires precise timing to execute the best version of the attack. If your timing is off you get a similar but weaker version of the move. Lately fighting games have started introducing easier command options or just making moves easier to do in general, but not this move. Hence why they say "I'm not going to sugar coat it."
@@ZyxWhitewind I didn't even think of that one in particular. Any move that ends in a diagonal is ass to not mess up and end up doing a quarter circle instead. Also the attribute icons look very similar to the button icons that ASW fighting games use in their command lists.

Also to add, this meme was popularized in Smash Ultimate because those on the receiving end of the EWGF have a tendency to lose their Stocks at any % i.e. the opponent not sugarcoating the damage they'll do to you

nah that vanquish soul is a GREAT meme. tho it makes sense that non FGC players dont get it rip. but i remember this was a HUGE meme when Kazuya from tekken 8 had a busted move

@@RospettoVerte yeah but the meme makes no sense the original had the command for the EWGF (a hard move with very precise timing) and this just has a shoryu motion which ironically results in only sugarcoating it in tekken.

-daily quests
-the "burn it all" achievement surprisingly doesnt say if the damage needs to be on the opponent

Imagine playing True Draco for the Tribute Summon mission, instead of Monarch. I almost played that mission with Libromancer, tributing one of them for Agent.
Funny you said that because I did exactly that to push for game in the ritual event and complete the tribute mission as well
I mean it was a deck I had lying around so of course I played True Draco to tribute summon. I won too thanks to Number 77 paired with Dinomight and Ignis Heat at the end.
As someone who played the Ritual festival, I can confirm 50% of people did not use Ritual decks.

As a Dogmatika player, it's more the lack of Dusk Dragon, Titanikald, and N'tss, and Herald being limited to 1 that really kills it.
Encountered more burn decks than much else, outside Mikanko.
That last meme I feel on a personal level. I also like and sometimes play Noble Knights, so when I see "Noble Knight support" and it says "FIRE Warrior", I really wish to yell at Konami card designers for doing that. Saying something is "Noble Knight support" and slapping "FIRE Warrior" on it make it Infernoble support, not Noble Knight support.

I'm disappointed that Farfa didn't understand the Vanquish Soul meme. It shows that he has no understanding of Fighting Game Culture or the fact that Vanquish Soul is an archetype based around Fighting Games

@@Ramsey276one kind of? Is difficult to translate. Being unaffected by activated effects fits how in most games make Dragon punches invincible but the destroying any card on the field is a stretch

@Ramsey276one the only issue is that in fighting games, dragon punching is a reactive attack. They usually have high recovery frames, making them a generally easy to punish

3:40 As someone who just finished the ritual festival and got all the possible gems from it, I can say that is what annoyed me the most about it. Like what’s the point of having a festival based around ritual monsters if decks like labyrinth, rescue ace, runnick and even yosenjus can play in it despite having nothing to do with rituals. Couple that with every other player using Mikanko and I was very disappointed by it. At least I had fun with libromancer, especially with one game where I had a 21 turn game against a mikanko player and won.
I played BLS for the Ritual Festival which would have been a bit better with an extra deck but oh well

No it's because both it and borreload savage are 'unintended' casualties of their events because they require aspects that are banned/useless in the event. Savage requires a link to do anything, and zoa requires fusions, synchros, xyz, and links, which most decks don't care about or use

I played Dogma ritual cuz I only had that deck cuz I played it before it was ritual focused. I thought it was a funny deck.
It’s bad in the ritual event, 4k beat stick is the end goal and it has zero protection. There’s a few ways to protect it but they are impossible to get every game.
There’s almost zero EX deck to use for the ritual spells.
Like I crafted some divners and got a Royal one, then pulled some generic ritual pack and got a Royal ritual spell. It sadly was the bad one.
