- In this Video I do my first POTA activation in the Tahoe National Forest K4469 Using the Chuck-Tenna EFHW. I also do some light 4 wheeling and show some of the trail leading to Bowman Lake. Also this is the first time I have used the HAMRS logging app and I have to say I really like it!

Guenter I love this area, years ago I did a lot of exploring on my quad, there was a lot of mining done in the area so a lot stuff to find!

With the Tahoe fires I'm surprised there's no smoke.. Must all be blowing up to Idaho. Curious about the Chuck-tenna.. didn't come up when I googled it.
If you look at the views over the Lake there was a good bit of smoke , But it did blow out to where it wasn't too bad the second day. Thanks for watching!

Great video and nice area to go camping ⛺️. I wish i were their today, I decided to re-arrange the old ham shack today so i have under and behind furniture all day pulling cables, cables, and more cables. It’s all been the same for over 20 years and needed updating badly. 73. KV5P

Good video. I just activated my first park here in Texas. I was with a guy working on his 3rd kilo so he did the hard stuff. I had a brand new HAMRS app on my iPad and it worked well. I have to get better with partial id’s. What did you think of the HAMRS app?

Paul I carry it in a Harbor Freight Apache case 3800 I think is the size , it barely fits but room for mic and power cord

I was set at 100 watts so close to that on a fully charged battery. Thanks for the comment and watching and make the leap!
