Areng!
Unbelievable !!! 2 geniuses - the composer and the performer !!! Quarta's cadenzas are also perfect. Paganini set a very high bar for those who followed. I think it explains much of the resentment and criticism from contemporary violinists. He was a threat to their own careers. Paganini's thematic material, even though subservient to his instrument is also worthy of any composer of the day. I have no doubt that had he wanted to compose for orchestra alone, he would have been one of the best of the Romantic Era.
He really plays very well, the double stop harmonics seem very nice, might it be the violin itself? The second movement of this concerto is very moving! Someone wrote that this concerto is worthless, but I disagree, this one also has beautiful tunes and breathtaking virtuoso effects. My favorite by far is the sixth concerto, the first one Paganini seems to have written.
That would certainly seem to be the claim made by the title of the album, "PAGANINI Played on Paganini's violin"... If the average violinist were asked, "What was the name of Paganini's violin?", assuming s / he ventured a guess at all, "Il Cannone" would be the logical result.^^

Katapliktikos o Joshima me Paganini koncerto nr.3 jia violi
only the sounding is much inferior to the sacd
Is the Cannone Guarneri del Gesù he’s playing?

Given that it's kept in Genoa, and owned by the municipality and this is a Genovese orchestra, it doesn't seem far fetched.
