I used to go to an old mill dam near my house and fish custard powered bread paste. It was deadly for the Tench in there, that was probably 45 years ago now. I now go fishing in my lake in my garden and catch Tilapia, as I now live in The North of Thailand.
Hello Andy, well, the river Thames, the river mole, and the river Wey, and some big lakes club water for the Tench and Bream, so nothing much lol, all the best mate, keep em cominng.
This is like how I like to fish, but I use the meat cube to cock the float at the surface, as you say keep your hand near the rod.. happy days...keep up the content and the northern accent!!
Another thing I've found fishing paste over the years is feeding micros can send them into a frenzy and you can start foul hooking fish cus tails and fins everywhere. Basically you can have too many fish in your swim. I love the method but you have to stick at it, you'll miss bites too, but guy's, stick at it and you'll be rewarded, cus when they really want it it is deadly. My record about 5 years ago on the pole was 60 carp... Mental! Top 2 fishing right under the pallet /peg. I haven't come Near that since but had like 20/25 plenty of times. Get out there now while it's warm, get in the groove and you'll have a great day!
Your floats perfect tbh mate. You need plenty of bristle cus you can get loads of liners fishing paste. Sit on your hands and don't strike till it flies under!
Loverly fishing Adam, Why i sit behind bite alarms nights i wouldn't here the runs lol, its about the nature for me a day will never relieve my symptoms of complex PTSD + £300 for membership, i get 30lb in one fish m8 ❤ , rivers open get bagging m8
That kind of fishing is okay for some but not for me,I would rather fish on big natural venues or canals and rivers, I've only fished two commercials never again 👍
Not just baggin, that's proper baggin. Love it 😊.
Absolutely beautiful big lad , my fav method can’t go wrong summer paste fishing 👍

I'm the same as you I'd rather float fish than sit behind a bunch of bite alarms
Trust me after years of carp fishing and falling asleep of boredom this type of fishing is so much more enjoyable
I love using paste but with a margin pole it's definitely a bagging method 🎣
Quality session Adam...Yep going tomorrow night fingers crossed...Baiting up from 8pm
