    Ok, now I want to use it in classical music...

    • @Cableguys
      @Cableguys  4 роки тому +2

      You can! Use some complex presets from the Library and no one will be able to tell that you used it on classical music.

      @@Cableguys You crossed out "Classical" in this video xD

    • @Cableguys
      @Cableguys  4 роки тому +3

      @@Powhart I know. Use a complex preset, and there won't be much classical music left over.. no, kidding, actually with a small amount of multiband crushing / enhancement you might even be able to make some proper use of it on classical music. I will call our video editor tonight..

    Does it work in ProTools?

    • @Cableguys
      @Cableguys  4 роки тому +3

      Hi Reid! Cableguys plugins are in VST and AU formats only, so not directly compatible with Pro Tools AAX. You may have success using it via a plugin wrapper such as Blue Cat's Patchwork - in fact, many users have told us that it works perfectly, although we have not tested it ourselves and do not officially support it. Blue Cat have a demo of Patchwork you can try out, to see if it works for you.

      Cableguys Thank you, I tried it out in patchwork and everything worked perfectly

    I miss the feature of automating parameters like Crunch from my DAW. Other shapers are also affected. Will that be available soon?

    • @Cableguys
      @Cableguys  4 роки тому +2

      It isn't possible to automate those parameters, and that's by design. The Crunch parameter is the average of the points in the LFO curve, so whenever you edit the LFO curve, you are also changing the Crunch parameter value (try drawing some points and you'll see the value changing). So for example, if you have automation armed while editing the LFO curve, you will inadvertently overwrite your Crunch automation with semi-random values! Also, some DAWs (eg, Ableton Live) will interpret any change in Crunch value as the user adjusting the control manually, and the automation will be disabled.
      In short, allowing automation of Cutoff/Resonance as regular VST/AU parameters could unleash chaos!
      A workaround is to use the Envelope's Shift slider (which is a normal automatable parameter) to offset the LFO. It works even with the Envelope's Amount at 0%.
