Dragon ball did inspire bleach lol, bleach it’s literally the closest to db in terms of sky fighting, explosions, transformations, blasts etc… bleach is inspired by manga mangas
Bleach also inspired Chainsaw Man Part 1, I mean just look at the similarities:- 1. Denji an underdog who is fighting against the Devils himself is a half-devil half-human hybrid just like Ichigo. 2. Makima who showcased herself as an ally of Devil Hunters is actually a master manipulator who has plotted something special for Denji, just like Aizen. 3. Definitely Bleach most influential. Naruto up there as well. OP doesn't seem to have inspired nearly as many stories at least up to this point, which is interesting.
Another manga that has been incredibly inspirational is HxH. In fact, JJK is greatly influenced by it in the way it uses the narrator to stop the action and deeply explain what is happening and how exactly the powers (which are also more complex than usual) work.
I know my comment may get lost in the sea of comments, but I just wanted to point this out the way that Dragon Ball inspired a lot of early anime was through going through this journey to gain something as we see with two big examples. One piece and Naruto one wants to be the pirate king. The other wants to be Hokage well with bleach it broke that cycle if you will where the main protagonist wasn’t looking to become something. He just wanted to protect his friends and by the end of the series, he gained so much power to the point where he’s the most powerful being in the verse but at the end, he became an English teacher, the most normal ending to a protagonist… and you know what it’s actually pretty beautiful because he has the power to be whatever he wants, but he doesn’t want that. He just protected his friends and he’ll keep doing it.and I feel like that led new age manga to be like my character doesn’t need to end being the best at something or the leader of someone or achieve this crazy dream. He could just be a normal character look at the ending of JJK look at the ending of Demon slayer look at the ending of MHA do you see a pattern?. So I’m glad this video was released because for a really long time I was really thinking the same way. And this is not a jab at Dragon Ball Ball no Dragon Ball became an inspiration to the generation after it so many manga. Including bleach, but bleach became the inspiration to the next generation.

Eventhough bleach took inspiration from dragonball but it didn't has tournament arc like other typical manga. Also if you put the trope "monsters roaming the streets, an organisation takes care of them, MC joining the org " which is the basis of bleach , there are multiple new gen manga follow the similar route. The only different is that Ichigo does not join Gotei13 , he act independently eventhough he has the same power. My opinion, out of big 3 , one piece is the least followed by new gen manga, just because its pacing is too slow in introducing worldbuilding or characters, so many side quests detour from the main storyline and obviously the new gen mangaka afraid Jump will axe their manga if they couldn't attract Jp readers fast enough
Yeah, it’s just not possible to follow one piece’s style with jumps current criteria. That buildup phase one piece needed is time a Jump manga isn’t getting now. They need to hit the ground running.
I think it is clearer to people after watching TYBW because it really shows how much influence it actually had, especially if you end up watching the anime before it. Soul Society Arc is by far one of the best arcs of action ever read. Funny trivia- a big influence on Tite Kubo was Saint Seiya
That's why he used directly and indirectly. Bleach has soo far been shown to be a direct inspiration source for these current mangaka. Naruto is also an inspiration but it's not very evident.

lmfao no it wasnt naruto and bleach were way popular in america you just think that now bc no ones talked about it over here in a long time until the new series. i watched this show as it was airing in america and it was right up there with naruto the whole time. one piece however did not get popular in the west until the LA came out just recently but i wouldnt even say one piece is underrated bc of that none of these shows are underrated thats just your personal feelings saying you think it didnt get the recognition you think it diserves but the numbers dont reflect that.
the editor of dbz became the chief editor of shueisha, they wanted to replicate the success of dbz so bad, kubo pitched his manga, the chief editor got up put a bunch of dbz volumes in a bag and told kubo ''go home, and come back when you write something like THIS''
Bleach could have been infinitely better if Shonen jump didnt force Tite Kubo to finish if faster. As Bleach Verse has not ended and Hell arc + the Burn the witch spinoff is coming its going to be insane. My hope is Ichigo goes Into Villian Arc in Hell verse. For me Bleach needs to be more darker and needs more darker themed storyline similar to Demon Slayer and JJK by not keeping characters alive and not using them properly. But i am sure i will be blown away by Mr Tite Kubo in Hellverse.

Also naruto inspired just as much as bleach and mha was inspired by one piece , author was the one who art was chosen by oda like 15yrs ago and he said oda is a huge inspiration, undead unluck also OP inspired, kaguribachi as well inspired by zoro. Bleach killed its momentum after soul society arc in the anime and then the boring fights in hueco mundo and long 1 on 1 fights of espadas killed it. And theres also deathnote and code geas around that time
People claiming Dragon Ball is the "father of anime" are just young. Dragon Ball was inspired by other anime that came before it, and there's several anime that came before Dragon Ball that influenced a ton of other anime from the same era and afterwards. An example: Bleach was heavily inspired by Saint Seiya, not only confirmed by the author, but it's also obvious to anyone who's seen them both. Hokuto no Ken was also a clear inspiration to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. With so much influence going around, limiting that to just Dragon Ball is very short-sighted.

This perspective on Bleach as the "father of New Gen anime" is spot on! Bleach may have been overlooked compared to Naruto and One Piece, but its DNA is all over today’s biggest hits. From Demon Slayer’s Hashira to Jujutsu Kaisen’s curses, you can feel Bleach’s influence running through them. I love how this underdog series, once seen as the “least popular” of the Big Three, is now being recognized for its lasting impact. I know that Bleach went through tough times. Even anime adaptation it got now lacks the dynamic in my opinion. They do cool animated moments, but it kept being static more time. It works in manga, the way Kubo focuses on faces, but it never really was adapted in good way to anime in my opinion. Not to mention how some storytelling choices got a lil bit too annoying in Bleach (fake deaths for me). However, I still love Bleach. It was, tbh, only manga I was interested to read weekly. It's really fantastic, knowing Bleach is not my fav in story or dynamics, but it kept me with it and I remember many parts of it greatly. I think Kubo has some magic in his artstyle and character designs, that makes you inspired to create own badass chars doing badass things. I totally can feel why authors mention it as inspo C:
Good video, but imho you missed one of THE biggest things Bleach has contributed to anime - the present day de facto standard for what good anime and manga look like, visually. When Bleach started out, it had quite a stylised and goofy slant to it, but by the time it was being animated Kubo's art style had already started evolved. By about 3-4 years in, it arrived at an aesthetic that quietly set the standard for what anime would look like from then on. Does anyone remember just how rare anatomically correct noses used to be in anime? That's obviously a really narrow example and not something Bleach alone gets credit for, but if you look at screenshots of Bleach a few years in and pretend you don't recognise the characters or environment, you'd be hard pressed in figuring out what show it was. And that's not because Bleach is 'generic' - it DEFINED what we now think of as our baseline. It's wild.
I dunno the rest of anime, but you can clearly see the inspiration of Bleach on Kimetsu no Yaiba: the use of swords, the spirituality, the grey duality between the 2 main groups (Shinigami/Hollow vs Hashira/Demons) and maybe the most unique... the point of view of the victims of the war. Both have a very sentimental drama based on how people suffer from the conflict, people going through grief and lost souls (Plus) waiting for rest in Bleach and the common villagers who lost their loved ones or going through temptations of the demons in Kimetsu no Yaiba.
dunno but i can't feel the influence of bleach to new manga maybe because i read too much fiction works that i can't longer differentiate if one work have influence to another but i glad that bleach has having the recognition they should have now compared to the last decade

Bleach could have been infinitely better if Shonen jump didnt force Tite Kubo to finish if faster. This perspective on Bleach as the "father of New Gen anime" is spot on! Bleach may have been overlooked compared to Naruto and One Piece, but its DNA is all over today’s biggest hits.
0:17 I wouldn't say Bleach because that series was inspired from Yu Yu Hakusho.
Bleach is inspired by GeGeGe no Kitaro, Saint Seyia and Bastard!! Not Yu Yu Hakusho
@@ChillDeathgod Well add Yu Yu Hakusho is the mix as well with the spiritual world thing in Yu Yu Hakusho.
dunno but i can't feel the influence of bleach to new manga maybe because i read too much fiction works that i can't longer differentiate if one work have influence to another but i glad that bleach has having the recognition they should have now compared to the last decade
Not mentioning Osamu Tezuka was a sin. Should have titled it "father of battle shounem".
