"Because of your position, you got the ceramic cup. But in reality, you only deserve the styrofoam cup for your morning coffee."
    Very deep leadership quote/thought!

Having just finished Simon's "Leaders Eat Last" book, I felt like this was almost a perfect summary of his book. He almost retold parts of his book verbatim

Bevor ich wirr über Führung bladdere, würde ich die Resultate von 100 Jahren Führungforschung studieren.
Das hier ist ein Geschwätz unter Besserwissern.

Marines all have the same level of respect for a position and know hot to fall in line. Civilians do not and are often entitled challenging their position rather than accepting it. So when a Marine says I am a leader of Marines or I aspire to be a good leader of Marines it means that they are confident that they can effectively govern like minded individuals, those who understand rankings and know how/when to fall in line. Marines can't lead civilians that's like herding cats.

A bit confused here ! According to his book, Leaders eat last, but here he's saying leaders eat first ( 3:25 )

    • @SaadKhan-xb8un

+mynameismag1 he's explaining the evolutionary explanation for leadership there. Leaders do get to eat first; highest pay checks, groupies, w.e... But Simon's point is that good leaders should aspire to serve his group before he serves himself

The point is that by nature, the Alpha's eat first. In other explanations he speaks of how great leaders understand this concept, and if they are smart they learn to build trust and support by deferring to others what may, by nature, be his - and it feels good also.

Leadership is not a series of hacking! It wasn't about making anyone believe and follow the faith of the uploader. Only those who are selfish would choose to hacked phone for religious and money.
Leadership is about understanding your team mates and and the ability of guide, decision making process for someone that is big enough to spare another person from religious beliefs.
Leadership is not conducted by humiliating. Leadership is about ability of someone to planned for future. Leadership is not about running away from responsibly of a man. Leadership is not about making woman to work and feed themselves. Leadership is not to humiliate a woman that gave birth to her children and being independently.
Leadership is not about getting hacked for fastest money and Christianity.
Leadership is not about blocking Internet access. Leadership is not about limited the videos contents to anyone. Leadership is not irresponsibly hack and humiliating.

About the point that humans are hierarchical animals "by nature" some argue that such is not the case at all, that in fact hierarchy came about as a result of the surpluses engendered by agriculture. One such argument is cogently articulated by Jason Godesky here: rewild.info/anthropik/ (Thesis #11).

I love who you are and your understanding of the world Simon Sinek.... but i do not understand why you do not use animals as a example in everything you talk about... great points could be proven just by the way we treat animals and how we eat them... only because they "taste good".

Religion doesn't say anything. Jesus freed people from religion by showing them the Leader, and by showing them the Truth about God.
Jesus has been, and always will be, in opposition to religion.

It wasn't about religion. You completely missed the point if that's the takeaway. It was a comparison of how human beings have always been because it's in our nature
