It's not just the words in the US Constitution that they need to read but SCOTUS rulings and precedents. I think all cops should have at least a pre-law degree.
If you haven't found out by now you can record any "public area" & anything within sight of said "public area"... but that being said I agree with how you did it. One if my biggest fears is DCF/DSS being brought into my life whether bogus or otherwise and them holding my child(s) as hostage even tho its not nessasary.

Thanks for sharing this part with us. It was great idea to talk to the other town officers but you can see in their eyes they were also a little bothered by being recorded but at least knew you have that right not to tell you to stop. The one time I did get nervous was when he said if they tell you to stop than you have to stop, NO you don't and he should of said that instead of saying to shut it if they want you to. These officials really have no clue of the laws they are supposed to be enforcing, and I bet it goes on everywhere in US. Sorry to think that is true. I am a long time sub and and supporter of the Dean family.

If I were you I would have your attorney demand the audio recordings. They sometimes can get farther than you would be able to. And I would NEVER accept a court appointed attorney.
I would think if taxpayers are paying for it it should be public reci\ord of some sort. Available to the parents even more rightfully. A lawyer must request this for you to prepare a proper defense otherwise he aint no good.

That report is also a public record and Dean can request a copy so he knows ahead of time what to expect in court. Preparation & copies of EVERYTHING is essential to fighting these viper reprobates from hell. I had a social worker actually tell me I was not allowed to have my attorney present when they questioned me. They even threatened me that if I choose not to cooperate (by allowing them to question me without legal representation) I would not get my son back ever.

Free Voice / We can even request a police escort to our vehicles if we are fearful leaving work or going through a dark parking garage. We can call them for a “welfare check” if we want them to go knock on a door and check on someone we might be worried about. That’s why #BackTheBlue is a common hashtag. Most people appreciate their hard work. There are always bad seeds (and small towns tend to cover up a lot!), but I think most American officers have good intentions. (Welfare check: Friends, family, and neighbors are important social contacts. They may regularly check in with loved ones to see how they’re doing. When a loved one fails to respond, the police can be called in to conduct a welfare check. -Does Canada do those? Just curious.) 😊
Your state representative can oversee your case and you will be amazed how quickly people learn to conduct themselves correctly and do their job right.

When you're in public, there's no expectation of privacy. In public, public officials may be recorded. These are both court rulings. They can't stop you from recording outside.

Get this. Cps showed up at my sons preschool. They took pictures of his naked hind end. All it had on it was a sore the size of a pin dot. They said he was burned with a cigarette. No one even smokes around my kids. I threatened to sue them because he was 4 years old and they needed my ok for them to take his picture let alone take pictures of his naked body. They said they could because he gave them permission. Absolutely insane and a total lie. I called them on it with their own pamphlet saying the parent have to give permission. Suddenly they backed down. Surprise surprise.

T K there is a legal organization that works to legally protect homeschooling parents and children. I believe they charge $1,000 one time fee. Homeschooling might get them off your back. You could homeschool for short time.

Every town to my knowledge, has a law library open to the public. They cannot tell you what to do, but they are very helpful in my experience. If it is a small town though you might have to go to a bigger one. Good luck n may God be with you brother

I don't know about in your state but here in Georgia it is legal to audio record conversations without notifying the other party(s) as long as you are a party of the conversation. Since you've been informed not to video record you need to find out if you can audio record without notifying them that you are recording the conversation. DCFS will build a case by talking to your friends, neighbors, ex-employers and old acquaintances without you knowing. They will twist any information to their agenda until they have enough "evidence" to remove your children and take you through a very long, drawn out legal battle. IMO you need to see if it is legal for you to audio record. If legal then any time you do record just discreetly have any other party identify themselves so that when transcripts are done they can be identified by their voice.
You have the right to call the federal marshal and file a report against DCFS and the local law enforcement for violating sworn constitutional oath that officer has sworn to uphold, DCFS agents violating inherent rights and unalienable rights. You need a clip-on cam. Some are 1" wide by 2" tall and 1/2" thick. There are even smaller ones. It needs to be inconspicuous and easily overlooked. Recourse, complaints filed with state legislators.
Also, in Colorado, I know DCFS workers are not considered agents. The State Statutes that DCFS has to follow civilly are called "The Children's Code." They are posted online. It's when a civil matter (a DCFS investigation) turns criminal that DCFS has to get in touch with local law enforcement. That's a simple explanation, but I'm very familiar with how Colorado works. Otherwise, I would not give out information I did not know, personally.
I'm not sure if this applies, but way back in 2010 The Department of Homeland Security put out a memo that was supposed to go to all government agencies informing ALL of them that public photography is perfectly legal when that video (or photographs...) is taken from an area that is "publicly accessible". This includes the outside of the building as well as any parts of the interior that is publicly accessible including areas that are not open to the public but can be recorded from and area that is publicly accessible. The main reason that this memo was circulated was that the government lost a lawsuit over them not allowing photography of any kind on government owned property or within those buildings. I'm pretty sure that this would apply to all circumstances, whether they are on State or Federal properties supported with taxpayer's money. Since you have your own UA-cam channel you are considered as a "journalist" through posting your videos for the general public to view. This is considered as "news" since you are reporting on things that might be of interest to the general public. You can simply state if questioned that you are a "journalist" working on a public interest story. If they interfere with what you are doing it is considered a violation of your First Amendment Rights under the Constitution!...and you can sue them in court both individually and as an organization! You can also sue the government agency for KIDNAPPING you son since he was placed in a locked room with an adult male and interrogated without your permission as a parent! If a person is "abducted" (in this case removed from the classroom) and put in a locked room from which he is held against his will, it is considered KIDNAPPING and WRONGFUL IMPRISONMENT by law! For a grown man to lock himself in that room with a minor borderlines molestation especially knowing that he intentionally lied on his report stating that he had cleared it with the school secretary and your daughter, neither of which is true. Since he is considered a government agent, this is considered falsifying public records which he apparently knew and that's why he falsified those records because he knew what he was doing was against policy and the law. Since it appears that his co-workers are covering for him they are considered a part of a CONSPIRACY so each of them can be sued personally on top of suing the agency in general. Even if what I said above doesn't apply to this situation, this person did violate the law by not contacting you first before interrogating your son. As far as I understand the law, anyone wishing to interrogate a minor must contact the parents first to clear it with them and even then he shouldn't be permitted to be in a locked room for over an hour with a minor! You might want to run what I said above with your attorney to see if this does apply in this situation. If it does, it would be a good time to have him start doing the paperwork on the lawsuits and I would sue each individual who may have had anything to do with this situation and it's coverup as well as the organization in general. Good luck and don't forget to kick them in the throat once you have them down so they stay down permanently!!! In dealing with child services in any country a family is at risk, the minute you turn and show any displeasure at what they are doing will flag them to close ranks and use every underhanded act to win. The only way to beat them is to take them directly into court. It may feel personal to you because it is but for them it is a lifestyle all it's own. I have been advocating against child services for 30 years and know the weight they can bring against your family, be strong and start building a legal defense fund and bridle your tongue, be wise, never loose your cool. You will need to learn their system before you are wise enough to poke the bear and when it happens give it all you got. But be Nice, God Bless and be strong.

True story. When I was an MRA I knew a woman who would try to educate public officials including police officers about what men face when they are victims of DV and how they get treated by the DV shelters when they try to get assistance. So she went to this police department and they did this little skit over the phone and she wrote out parts for everyone to have. She played the sister of a man being abused by his wife or girlfriend or whatever. She had the chief of police play the abused man. And she called the local DV shelter and told them about her brother, etc. and the woman who talked acted all concerned and told her yes have her brother call and they will help him, blah, blah, blah. So then she had the chief call as the brother and they put it on speaker phone so all of the officers could hear it. So the chief read his lines about his predicament and repeated that his sister said they would help him, etc. Not only did the woman REFUSE to help him. She told the chief that she believed HE was the real abuser and she was going to call the police department if he came there and she was talking to the chief saying that! I thought that was hysterically funny. I wonder how much the PD still worked in cahoots with that DV shelter after all of the officers heard them showing their true colors! lol

I am in Detroit I am currently in this same situation only difference they stole my child from school without giving me a order or even letting me know to come to court They totally violated my due process and now I'm in the process without any money to try to get my children back they are stealing our children in front of our face and as I'm sitting here watching your video the only thing I can say is when will we fight back forget the lawyers the attorney that are getting all the money that we do not have who will help us and when will they stop
Cps has cameras in their facility. They are recording you, you record them. How about just placing the phone in your shirt pocket just so the camera is sticking out and record that way. Anything you can see from the public is able to be recoded. All public areas are recordable. You could be the person to Change the town. It sucks and it’s a lot of work but if u find the right lawyer to sue the county if you get arrested for filming you could win the money you spend fighting it. You can start a go fund me account to get the lawyer fees paid by us that want to see the county officials uphold their oath. It’s a long road and to be hated by the county would suck but then you would have to move with the loot you won.
I noticed you got to video. With the peace officer it went smoothly. Here in Missouri I have seen the law broken by DFS as well. I held them accountable for my patient and they did not like it. In the end they are so corrupt and I was one psychiatrist. I became seriously ill and I am now retired. The rule of law has been seriously injured. The Kavanaugh hearings encapsulated all the legal problems. With Trump there seems to be some hope. I have to say I am exhausted but I still try to influence some young people.

My local government has been violating my right for over 20 years. They have dragged me into court way more than a dozen times at my expense. Many agencies are involved. This is still not over. If you pursue harassment charges, they will say they have anonymous complaints. You are guilty until you prove your innocence. You do not have the right to know who is the accuser. I tried sending you the link to the PINAC site, but for some reason, I can't get it to go. Check it out, it gives you all the legal rights you have to film in and on public areas in the United States. You absolutely have the right to film in the CPS lobby and there is not anything that they legally can do about it. The sheriff was a bellend for telling you that you can't film nor take photos from the public area outside of the CPS offices.

I was wondering if your son can collaborate what he was asked and what he answered during the video interragation (sp), and compare what happened to what they had in the written transcripts? Your son can tell you and your attorney weather or not what they wrote was consistent and correct with the video Q & A interrigation. I am following and watching and praying for all y'all. Supreme court has ruled that citizens have the same rights as the press to record, film and take photos in public! That includes public lobbies, ROW, easements expect in a court room unless a judge grants that right to do so!

If the local sheriff is violating your constitutional rights you have options other than a lawyer. You can file a complaint with the FBI, your governor, your state and national representatives and the ACLU.
Have your son write and sign his own statement about the transcript being incomplete and keep it with the transcript and all other paperwork you collect for your own case. I would say keep requesting the full conversation. Good that you had officers there. They could act as witnesses and if ever you get bullied into not recording, bring a non relative witness that can put everything they witness into writing. Every interaction should be on the record one way or another.

Go there, make sure you are on public property, film until they force you to leave, pick up a pro se 42USC subsection 1983 federal civil rights lawsuit form at the federal court or the county office building law library and be sure to get the informa pauperus (poor person status) form, fill them out (instructions included) and take or mail to the United States District Court for your area.

The law is not always so obvious. 9/11 allowed the legislation to be passed about not recording video or taking pics of govt property. Everyone is assumed to be a terrorist unless proven otherwise. 9/11 turned out to be a govt scam, but they got all their legislation passed that would not have passed otherwise.

In the current world situation, places will not allow recording in offices or organizations with a high probability of client retaliation such as cps/DCFS. This done as much for the protection of client privacy as it is for worker protection.
A few things crossed my mind in this video. 1, that was awesome when you actually had the police come with you (which was probably intimidating for CPS) and 2, perhaps if more people were able to discuss things rationally and let the police know what's going on, and get them involved rather than waiting for CPS to call them, that the police will begin to start seeing normal people as good people again. I've never heard of anyone calling the police to escort them for their own protection, usually the police are called by companies, etc to remove people they claim are causing an issue. When in reality, someone was scammed, etc and they're innocent but being removed. Does that make sense? That first guy in the building looked scared. That lady said her name nervously and also was sure to point out it's on the paperwork. I feel using the police for YOUR protection made them think a bit harder about who they mess with. Good on you!
I think the patriot act may have had something to do with laws concerning recording or photographing public buildings. I live in NYC and after 9/11 police would stop tourists from taking pic of buildings in Manhattan, they said it was because terrorists take pics and vids to plan attacks.

You should ask the police if you video in the cps office will they come and arrest you knowing it's your right to video? Video them when you ask. I know you are scared when it comes to your children and you will let them violate your rights but there should be a supervisor at cps that knows you have rights or call the 1-800 number to the main office. The sheriff should have told you that you can uphold your first amendment (freedom of the press), instead of saying you can not video the building even from the public sidewalk (a bunch of crap). You need to get some auditors out there and let them film from public space and I bet they will not arrest them. I have been in the service of my country almost my entire career and adult life. I have never seen anyone, civilian, statesman, or sailor, show such a blatant disregard to the US Constitution and literal defacing of everything descent and moral as CPS. They even brag about it and condescend. Yet even as they dictate, obviously under a communist agenda. Our governments . Local, police, courts etc... Demand that we respect any and all their constitutional rights. What nonsense, we and they are sworn to uphold and defend the constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic. It was great idea to talk to the other town officers but you can see in their eyes they were also a little bothered by being recorded but at least knew you have that right not to tell you to stop. The one time I did get nervous was when he said if they tell you to stop than you have to stop, NO you don't and he should of said that instead of saying to shut it if they want you to. These officials really have no clue of the laws they are supposed to be enforcing, and I bet it goes on everywhere in US. Sorry to think that is true. I had a social worker actually tell me I was not allowed to have my attorney present when they questioned me. They even threatened me that if I choose not to cooperate (by allowing them to question me without legal representation) I would not get my son back ever.

Get this. Cps showed up at my sons preschool. They took pictures of his naked hind end. All it had on it was a sore the size of a pin dot. They said he was burned with a cigarette. No one even smokes around my kids. I threatened to sue them because he was 4 years old and they needed my ok for them to take his picture let alone take pictures of his naked body. They said they could because he gave them permission. Absolutely insane and a total lie. I called them on it with their own pamphlet saying the parent have to give permission. Suddenly they backed down. Surprise surprise.

I don't know about in your state but here in Georgia it is legal to audio record conversations without notifying the other party(s) as long as you are a party of the conversation. Since you've been informed not to video record you need to find out if you can audio record without notifying them that you are recording the conversation. DCFS will build a case by talking to your friends, neighbors, ex-employers and old acquaintances without you knowing. They will twist any information to their agenda until they have enough "evidence" to remove your children and take you through a very long, drawn out legal battle. IMO you need to see if it is legal for you to audio record. If legal then any time you do record just discreetly have any other party identify themselves so that when transcripts are done they can be identified by their voice.
You have the right to call the federal marshal and file a report against DCFS and the local law enforcement for violating sworn constitutional oath that officer has sworn to uphold, DCFS agents violating inherent rights and unalienable rights. Also, in Colorado, I know DCFS workers are not considered agents. The State Statutes that DCFS has to follow civilly are called "The Children's Code." They are posted online.
It's when a civil matter (a DCFS investigation) turns criminal that DCFS has to get in touch with local law enforcement. That's a simple explanation, but I'm very familiar with how Colorado works. Otherwise, I would not give out information I did not know, personally.

I'm not sure if this applies, but way back in 2010 The Department of Homeland Security put out a memo that was supposed to go to all government agencies informing ALL of them that public photography is perfectly legal when that video (or photographs...) is taken from an area that is "publicly accessible". This includes the outside of the building as well as any parts of the interior that is publicly accessible including areas that are not open to the public but can be recorded from and area that is publicly accessible. The main reason that this memo was circulated was that the government lost a lawsuit over them not allowing photography of any kind on government owned property or within those buildings. I'm pretty sure that this would apply to all circumstances, whether they are on State or Federal properties supported with taxpayer's money. Since you have your own UA-cam channel you are considered as a "journalist" through posting your videos for the general public to view. This is considered as "news" since you are reporting on things that might be of interest to the general public. You can simply state if questioned that you are a "journalist" working on a public interest story. If they interfere with what you are doing it is considered a violation of your First Amendment Rights under the Constitution!...and you can sue them in court both individually and as an organization! You can also sue the government agency for KIDNAPPING you son since he was placed in a locked room with an adult male and interrogated without your permission as a parent! If a person is "abducted" (in this case removed from the classroom) and put in a locked room from which he is held against his will, it is considered KIDNAPPING and WRONGFUL IMPRISONMENT by law! For a grown man to lock himself in that room with a minor borderlines molestation especially knowing that he intentionally lied on his report stating that he had cleared it with the school secretary and your daughter, neither of which is true. Since he is considered a government agent, this is considered falsifying public records which he apparently knew and that's why he falsified those records because he knew what he was doing was against policy and the law. Since it appears that his co-workers are covering for him they are considered a part of a CONSPIRACY so each of them can be sued personally on top of suing the agency in general. Even if what I said above doesn't apply to this situation, this person did violate the law by not contacting you first before interrogating your son. As far as I understand the law, anyone wishing to interrogate a minor must contact the parents first to clear it with them and even then he shouldn't be permitted to be in a locked room for over an hour with a minor! You might want to run what I said above with your attorney to see if this does apply in this situation. If it does, it would be a good time to have him start doing the paperwork on the lawsuits and I would sue each individual who may have had anything to do with this situation and it's coverup as well as the organization in general. Good luck and don't forget to kick them in the throat once you have them down so they stay down permanently!!! The 2010 Memo is available online, just google search the 2010 Department of Homeland Security Memo and you should be good to go...

In dealing with child services in any country a family is at risk, the minute you turn and show any displeasure at what they are doing will flag them to close ranks and use every underhanded act to win. The only way to beat them is to take them directly into court. It may feel personal to you because it is but for them it is a lifestyle all it's own. I have been advocating against child services for 30 years and know the weight they can bring against your family, be strong and start building a legal defense fund and bridle your tongue, be wise, never loose your cool. True story. When I was an MRA I knew a woman who would try to educate public officials including police officers about what men face when they are victims of DV and how they get treated by the DV shelters when they try to get assistance. So she went to this police department and they did this little skit over the phone and she wrote out parts for everyone to have. She played the sister of a man being abused by his wife or girlfriend or whatever. She had the chief of police play the abused man. And she called the local DV shelter and told them about her brother, etc. and the woman who talked acted all concerned and told her yes have her brother call and they will help him, blah, blah, blah. So then she had the chief call as the brother and they put it on speaker phone so all of the officers could hear it. So the chief read his lines about his predicament and repeated that his sister said they would help him, etc. Not only did the woman REFUSE to help him. She told the chief that she believed HE was the real abuser and she was going to call the police department if he came there and she was talking to the chief saying that! I thought that was hysterically funny. I wonder how much the PD still worked in cahoots with that DV shelter after all of the officers heard them showing their true colors! lol

Cps has cameras in their facility. They are recording you, you record them. How about just placing the phone in your shirt pocket just so the camera is sticking out and record that way. Anything you can see from the public is able to be recoded. All public areas are recordable. You could be the person to Change the town. It sucks and it’s a lot of work but if u find the right lawyer to sue the county if you get arrested for filming you could win the money you spend fighting it. You can start a go fund me account to get the lawyer fees paid by us that want to see the county officials uphold their oath. It’s a long road and to be hated by the county would suck but then you would have to move with the loot you won.

Here in Missouri I have seen the law broken by DFS as well. I held them accountable for my patient and they did not like it.
In the end they are so corrupt and I was one psychiatrist. I became seriously ill and I am now retired. The rule of law has been seriously injured. The Kavanaugh hearings encapsulated all the legal problems. With Trump there seems to be some hope. I have to say I am exhausted but I still try to influence some young people.

Check it out, it gives you all the legal rights you have to film in and on public areas in the United States. You absolutely have the right to film in the CPS lobby and there is not anything that they legally can do about it. The sheriff was a bellend for telling you that you can't film nor take photos from the public area outside of the CPS offices.

I don't trust government anyone/officials either! They just want our tax dollars, and do not want to work or do a good job FOR US, WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! All these people you have been involved with Dustin are "Public servants" and exist on your and other tax payers dime. In other words 'they work for you' as long as you are not doing something illegal or breaking a written or posted law. And remember 'signs'. If it is not posted such as 'recording or filming is not permitted', you have a right to do both.
Supreme court has ruled that citizens have the same rights as the press to record, film and take photos in public! That includes public lobbies, ROW, easements expect in a court room unless a judge grants that right to do so!
Where a hidden camera you're self. If they can't see it they won't request you not to record.

If the local sheriff is violating your constitutional rights you have options other than a lawyer. You can file a complaint with the FBI, your governor, your state and national representatives and the ACLU.
Have your son write and sign his own statement about the transcript being incomplete and keep it with the transcript and all other paperwork you collect for your own case. I would say keep requesting the full conversation. Good that you had officers there. They could act as witnesses and if ever you get bullied into not recording, bring a non relative witness that can put everything they witness into writing. Every interaction should be on the record one way or another.

Go there, make sure you are on public property, film until they force you to leave, pick up a pro se 42USC subsection 1983 federal civil rights lawsuit form at the federal court or the county office building law library and be sure to get the informa pauperus (poor person status) form, fill them out (instructions included) and take or mail to the United States District Court for your area.
It does not matter according to the sheriff of the county I can not film. The sheriff is the highest law of the land.

The law is not always so obvious. 9/11 allowed the legislation to be passed about not recording video or taking pics of govt property. Everyone is assumed to be a terrorist unless proven otherwise. 9/11 turned out to be a govt scam, but they got all their legislation passed that would not have passed otherwise.

In the current world situation, places will not allow recording in offices or organizations with a high probability of client retaliation such as cps/DCFS. This done as much for the protection of client privacy as it is for worker protection.

A few things crossed my mind in this video. 1, that was awesome when you actually had the police come with you (which was probably intimidating for CPS) and 2, perhaps if more people were able to discuss things rationally and let the police know what's going on, and get them involved rather than waiting for CPS to call them, that the police will begin to start seeing normal people as good people again. I've never heard of anyone calling the police to escort them for their own protection, usually the police are called by companies, etc to remove people they claim are causing an issue. When in reality, someone was scammed, etc and they're innocent but being removed. Does that make sense?
That first guy in the building looked scared. That lady said her name nervously and also was sure to point out it's on the paperwork. I feel using the police for YOUR protection made them think a bit harder about who they mess with. Good on you!

I think the patriot act may have had something to do with laws concerning recording or photographing public buildings. I live in NYC and after 9/11 police would stop tourists from taking pic of buildings in Manhattan, they said it was because terrorists take pics and vids to plan attacks.

You should ask the police if you video in the cps office will they come and arrest you knowing it's your right to video? Video them when you ask. I know you are scared when it comes to your children and you will let them violate your rights but there should be a supervisor at cps that knows you have rights or call the 1-800 number to the main office.
The sheriff should have told you that you can uphold your first amendment (freedom of the press), instead of saying you can not video the building even from the public sidewalk (a bunch of crap). You need to get some auditors out there and let them film from public space and I bet they will not arrest them. They are mistreating you because they feel you would "obey" because your children come first. Good luck and keep fighting!!!
I have been in the service of my country almost my entire career and adult life. I have never seen anyone, civilian, statesman, or sailor, show such a blatant disregard to the US Constitution and literal defacing of everything descent and moral as CPS. They even brag about it and condescend. Yet even as they dictate, obviously under a communist agenda. Our governments . Local, police, courts etc... Demand that we respect any and all their constitutional rights. What nonsense, we and they are sworn to uphold and defend the constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic. The reason they are so secretive and unjust is because they are enemies of The People and must be brought down, by true color of Law or whatever means they cause and necessitate.!
