Welker Farms
The good thing is that watching these disasters gets you more hits on YT. Makes up for it a little bit...
Truly is God’s country. Seeing for miles like that is so odd to me. Here in Pa, I’ve lived in a valley between 2 mountain ranges my whole life.
I caught that action also. Spot on Nate.
@@chrissyfrancis8952 Your right on Chrissy. Pennsylvania is still a beautiful state with lots of unspoiled farm vista's. Here in Connecticut rampant un checked urban sprawl has but all ruined all this state. Hardly a view left where you don't see condos, housing , strip malls, big box, or hill tops being removed for more crap. It so sad.
@@masescranton9630 I lived in very rural areas, out in farmland, then up in the mountains in a log sided cabin. It was a dirt road to a dirt driveway. We had a 4 stalled barn surrounded by forest, had chickens, raised Goer goats for 4H & 2 miniature donkeys. We’d get snowed in & I loved it! You could see every star in the sky bc it was pitch black at night, couldn’t see the neighbors for all the trees. Then in 2014, we had to sell & move into town bc I have a health issue that changed our finances. It’s just a small town in a valley the Susquehanna River runs through it & I don’t like it. I could never live in a city. I’m so sorry to hear about Connecticut.
The drone footage was stunning (as usual) (music too)..... storm damage is a hail of a way to go but God hears many prayers on your behalf regularly and He said not to worry so we, along with you trust Him.... ..... man that pronghorn running footage was something. .. thanks again
WOW ! We have seen this part of the movie before. Is is so discouraging and we are just watching. We cannot imagine how you feel. Cousin Gary, a farmer, said he has watched his year's work "disappear" in 10 minutes when he has been hailed out. A person feels so helpless and insignificant. Thank you for sharing an afternoon that you would rather forget. 🤔
we had hail twice in Central Alberta this year. we just finished our 2000 acres yesterday in 8 days with 4-8780 xp masseys . they run pretty much flawless .only worked 9 -9 .daylight hours only. good luck with your harvest
Man that sucks big time. Really feeling for you guys. Been such a terrible year so far. Just stay positive. Here's hoping for a better year to come. Stay safe and God Bless. Love to you all...
Unlikely. El Nino is putting his $*(@ down on us, polar vortex is in full swing and to top it all off, next year 2024 should've been solar max, but apparently the Sun never got that memo, and decided to say "yeah, screw you guys, i'm gonna start spitting early". There's droughts in areas where droughts almost never existed and monsoons where there weren't monsoons, which then cause their own issues. TLDR, skip to 2025 and maybe, maybe it's going to be a good year.
That's such a bummer yall are getting hammered this year but love the content keep rolling it out God bless!!!
WOW, that was a kick in the pants! Storms like that can be devastating. When you looked out to check on the flag, I wanted to assure you that here was nothing to worry about. Yes, it was a storm, it was violent, but THAT flag has been through many storms before, got some going right now. Rest assured, those colors DON'T RUN!!! I spent just over 21 years in her service and I, for one, appreciate seeing her fly from you farm and equipment. Thank you for that. Together, WE can do it!!
♥️🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦 Amen Thank you for your service
Stay strong boys'. All the best from South Africa 🇿🇦
I admire you, be strong guys, may God not abandon you.The weather is on your side.
Boy you just reminded me of that Johnny Cash song
@@Rebelgamer-1111 I don't use the word boy it's a little bit....
This is like being down 50 - 7 and your opponent has just put their 4th string in and they are driving and looks like they're going to score again!
You do the best you can and remember the other hard times which probably seemed just as bad as now.
There are a lot of people praying for you to remain healthy and keep the faith.
Hang in there Welker family. We send our love and prayers.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
You guys are such an encouragement that you can hold your head up high, and no God will provide, and carry you through. There's a season for everything, and it's unfortunate you guys have had to go through this, but you're a blessing to be able to show God is in control and as it says in Isaiah you are in his hand and he will protect you. Blessings!
Actually, I am not a farmer but I keep watching you guys from Turkey. It is misery, but it is life, not worth being sad, good luck
I guess in times like these you really don't know if you
should lough or cry.
All the times you prayed for rain there hasn't been a single drip of water.
And now just when you don't need it everything comes down at once...😥
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
10:25 spreading a lot a material al from the hopper straight to the ground😂😉
Praying for you and your crops that their not damaged
That footage of the storm was epic!
Lots of things can go wrong after planting a crop...90% (plus) of the time Mother Nature has something to do with...she always bats last. Hope your hail+federal crop insurance will cover "some" of your input expenses so you keep fighting the battle we call farming.
Among the weather issues - Praying for Blessings!
The drone shots were epic! Nick, that expression you’d had on your face while sitting in the combine with the hail falling, I know that feeling, it’s admiring the force of nature combined with the knowledge of what it’s doing to your crops.
Had that expression a couple days ago as the big white combine made a pass with extreme wind and rain as well.
He gives you no more than you can handle. You guys got this. Maybe a third combine someday to speed up harvest. The windows in the weather during harvest sure seem to be shortening.
Nick welker gets the most beautiful shots of all the utube farmers.
Wow - hit again. You folks have had a very challenging year!
You guys are hail of season Wow The weather is different all over the world I feel for your guys
Praying for you guys hope everything goes good for the rest of your harvest
I feel bad for you guys because we have finished harvest here in the Uk 🇬🇧 and we only got a few sprinkles of rain 🌧 and we were getting 15 16 moisture readings
Tough to take on top of pretty grim season. I know you farm for the love of it but you do need to be financially positive to keep doing it. Hope you folks don't take too long to balance the ledger. Make you realise family comes first. I've just had my first grandchild and when I saw him a lifetime of struggles was instantly rewarded. Stay strong and keep up the good fight.
I remember one day on my friend farmer s farm we were doing small hay bales;i am carrying wagons from the field and there s a big thunderstorm like this one approching.Well 15 minutes later and 6 wagons backed up in the shed it starts to rain! The beer was very good!
You’ve had a brutal couple of years farming. And beset with major equipment and vehicle breakdowns. Bummer no AC in that IH for hot days. Hope 2023 proves better.
Two years in a row, it's gotta be hard and discouraging. So sorry to see this happen to Welker Farms again.
The Jake’s on your Pete sound especially sweet. A fine serenade for the hauling of wheat.
It is really tough, to see you guys get hammered again! I just can’t help but think of Job and all he endured. God Blessed him beyond measure after all his testing. God Bless you and your family!
Gut wrenching vlog... I have stood out in the hail as I watched it destroy my crop. I will never get over the memory of that feeling.
6:57... What a shot... AMAZING !
It was spectacular to watch!
Oh man that was so hard to watch. Your attitude afterwards was still positive which is one really big thing that I love about your videos. I'm slowly watching all your videos from the beginning, and can't wait to watch the next one to see what happened. Keep up the positive filming. You are reaching all of us who need your inspiration. God bless you!!
We continue to keep you in our prayers. So sorry you have to go though these trials, but you have the faith and strength to get you through! Blessings
Wow the life of a farmer is never easy!! Great drone footage!
That storm really must have done some damage. We had one of those last week. Came from the NE out of nowhere and did some damage to 3 circles of corn starting to dent and a 120 ac of cotton. When corn is worth $2,000 per acre the loss adds up quick!
Welker Farms established 1912 so hopefully your family has little to no debt load. Lots of farms were lost in the 1980’s when commodity prices were low. My parents divorced in 1981 and they sold the farm in March 1981. My mom has said that she thinks that they would have lost the farm in the 1980’s had they not sold it in 1981.
Thanks guys for showing this storm footage. We in CA have no rain only fires. I am so sorry for all these trials you are going thru. Prayers for your family.
Absolutely devastating watching that. How you guys manage to stay positive ,is beyond me.
Stunning videography!!!
I watch a number of small to large farming operations on YT and I'm always amazed by the crazy hard work all of you put into a days work. I get frustrated when disease and pests take a toll on my tiny backyard garden. I can only imagine the frustration when 💩 happens on a level such as this. Oh yeah, the drone footage of the buck running in the field with the combine in the background? Huge 👍👍
mike michel in canada had same happen but with rain. 3 JD combines with tanks full of grain and after had to shovel it out by hand cos unload belts were just slipping
I feel for you guys it’s one thing after another thankfully you have insurance to cover some of the loss.
Such a big difference between needing a grain cart and filling bags and now barely harvesting crop:(
In a way. Those who have no idea about what the word hail and harvest killers can really see. It is not great but a blessing for others to recognize your and farmers lives. Thank you for all the time you take to place cameras and getting in and out of machinery to show everyone what you and others do
I am sorry guys be safe out there your buddy from Nebraska
Man you guys….just don’t know what to say other than we pray for you all. Keep at it. Better days ahead! Love your family and love your channel!!
some of the most beautiful shots I have seen you do, work that drone
I love Grandpa Welker... What a man - Imagine the changes he has seen in agriculture in his lifetime. Then the pride of seeing a farm flourish and endure the hard times, his sons working together as broader team and getting the work done, providing for the family from children to Grand children.
I continue to pray for your family. Sometimes it’s hard to hold your head up,especially when you have 3 hail events in one season.Hang in there! You’re a blessing to a lot of people!
im sorry to hear this happened to you guys again it must be very hard :(
Thats farming
@@jacksperf8003 yep cant do anything about it
Love the drone footages. Man what's the odds of hail once but three times in a year.
My heart hurts for ya.
That storm at 16:20 was a awsome display of nature... so sad the way yall get hammered every yr.. super drone shots of antelope and storm...God bless yall farmers
I've wondered over the last couple years why the two combines work the same field, and there might be a variety of reasons, but when I saw the 'fire truck' I figured out one reason! Hope your conditions improve.
This is tough to watch, but not nearly as hard as for y'all. Prayers going out your way.
I know God is great. Peace and prayers. My heart aches for yall and the other farmers in the area. Love, Hugs and Prayers.
So is this gods doing
About the time I start thinking I’m having tough times I see someone else that’s having worse problems! It puts things into perspective! I know I’m not the only one that will be praying for you guys! Love your content please keep it up!
16.45 man thats an epic shot. sorry you guys are having all that weather hassle.
You guys just can't catch a break, I'm praying and I will continue too.
dont give up guys mother nature always throws we mere mortals huge curve balls we cant hit
praying next year is the best crops you've ever had. Nature is sure trying your faith and patience the last 2 years. Great video of storm and combine. Loved the pronghorn. would like to see more wildlife when your able to video it. Keep plugging along.
This is probably the most epic vid you've ever done. First the opening montage was amazing, then, that drone footage! just...👌. Amazing! and great editing to boot. Your guys production values are higher than broadcast "television".
again?!?! I hope there is still good yeild in the wheat. good luck and god bless!
Sitting in a hail storm and all 3 are filming themselves 😆 Kinda funny when you think about it.
Was a pain running the one camera back and forth in that hail.......... 😊
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob I know it's just funny to think about
😊👍
Dang. Sorry to hear about that guys! Mother Nature is on a torrent lately. Bitter sweet getting moisture but having hail. Very dry here in Minnesota. We had a few days of good rain but that is drying out again now. Praying for you all!!! We need El Nino to take a nap for a while. God bless and hope to hear how everything wraps up. 🙏
Crazy weather! It's been 100 here in western Nebraska! and we had no rain or in sight. God Bless You All!
And you just want to show us some decent crops being harvested...
This is brutal. It’s hard growing the crops with drought/,fertilizer prices and then it’s a nightmare trying to harvest them.
God bless The Welkers.
So sorry that happened again!!
Great seeing you all out there thank you all for what you do god bless you and your family
Love the sound of a jake brake.
was that the same storm mike had? such a shame these thing happen after all the work you put in. the drone footage with the lightening and the combines was awesome tho

What are you 2 years old
OHHH man..... So sorry..... What a year. You guys show such strength.... I'd be just screaming!!!!.. Hang in..... It's gotta get better!!
You guys are sure going through a lot. Prayers
Thank you very much for sharing this video. The scale in which you covered the hailstorm gives a better understanding of the tough times a farmer faces than any documentary ever could.
God, I feel for you guys. What a knee in the knackers.
Have to say the expression on Dad's face in the video preview said it all. And brought a lump to my throat.
Oh, praying for you all....hoping you get something good out of this years carnage.
Bonjour,c'est vraiment désolant de voir cette météo s'acharner sur vos récoltes cette années en espérant que les dégâts ne soient pas trop important, bon courage à vous🙏
Been watching you guys for ages now and I love your videos, been making your farm the exact same well sort of on fs 17 to 19 and it’s my dream to see your farm
What a year! God bless your family and thank you for the example of grace and faith that you give just with your attitude and perseverance.
Mother nature. She can be a mean lady when you don't want her to be.
Heart goes out to you.
Wishing y’all the very best outcome. I do appreciate that you do care about flying The American Flag. It’s just makes you fill with pride, justice and hope for a brighter day. Blessings for everyone at Welker Family Farms! The camera/drone work is phenomenal! The best I have seen so far! Keep up the great work and thank you all for the hard work!
Funny it looks like winter time like you got snow on the ground except for the summertime I have to look up how hails made something up in the upper atmosphere I'm sure some kind of cold something mixture with some kind of moisture high and lows whatever make hail very weird though
I would just like to say thank you for sharing your videos of what you do on your farm and there's always watching this video and then seeing the hail coming down and seeing you in the field checking your wheat I hope you can get a decent crop off them Fields stay safe and have fun from your big fan from Papakura New Zealand Big Matt
i helped a friend farm for almost 20 years and saw my fair share of days like these . your great attitude and firm faith is great to see . god bless!
Glad to see that you are taking it like Mike Mitchell ... glad that you've got an insurance ... earth is changing ... yesterday, it was here like a christmas tree lightening ... ground is still not wet ... my magnolia is waiting in other to make some flowers ...
Really sorry for you guys! That area is hard enough to farm without those freak natural deals! Hail stinks! Thankfully, we don't deal with it that much here in the south!
7:02, that's what we call a speed goat!
16:30 great drone footage of the storm behind the combine!
We only get hail when it's cold up there.
Bring on the Climate Optimum period or the Medieval warm period again. In the Climate optimum period they built all the European Cathedrals as they felt really happy with life as it was much warmer and calmer so the crop yield was higher, which was needed to feed all the workers for the fifty year projects. Then the climate changed nearer to todays temperatures, and a plague started which killed many workers, and the big building projects stopped.
So very sorry this happened to y’all again. Your life is hard but also very rewarding. My prayers are with you. Steve in Texas
Great job with the content. Awesome how your dad is so involved with it to. Appreciate it 🙏
It's awesome to see ole glory during harvest, those were some amazing shots
I'm so sorry guys. Been praying for your farm. You sure have gotten beaten down this year.
The drone footage is amazing. Love it.
16:29, awesome shot!👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
as someone who farms i can feel your emotion . hang in there , we alwaya do and have faith
One of the most challenging living to make! Being a farmer! When it's good! You feel on top of the world! But your family has survived so many challenges, and still smile and enjoy what you do!
So sorry about the hail! You made the video for the Montana field. I remember asking you about this earlier this spring! So cool!
Our hearts ache for you guys, losing so much to hail this year. Thank you for sharing what was a devastating afternoon with us. Many prayers and God bless from Australia 🇦🇺
Your positive attitude towards tought luck is a testimony to the T-shirt you wore today. Those of us who know what it means to be redeemed know that it's not the circumstances that matter it's how we react to them. You 3 are a blessing to all who follow your channel. Today's adventure of all "hail breaking loose" was a encouragement to me. I just enjoy watching your faith lived out in genuine honesty. Would love to know y'all but know we will have eternity to do that. Until then stay OBEDIENT and FAITHFULNESS will continue to follow.
Thank you
As a Christian, we know the Lord spoke to the storm and it calmed down. Try speaking to the storm, preferably before it's hits you. Look at it and say something like Get outta here or Go Away. It works if you believe it works. Bible says, Call those thing that are not as tho they are. Our words are very POWERFUL, use them Wisely. Sincerely, Evangelist Ace
I had to pause the video and just say that drone footage was absolutely amazing. Great work brother. I send blessings over your family and farm and pray for ever increasing yield.
That is some incredible footage you folks are the best god bless you
