@@bobsjepanzerkampfwagen4150 did you know, 85mm APHE can pen the lower hull of the Panzer IV/70(V) while the 76mm APCBC can't reliably do so
AHappyCub aslo how the 85 can go right through a jumbo to which makes no sense
AHappyCub as german mainer i can confirm both guns can pen it at the right distance but the 76 is more toxic because the reload and the stabiliser

The addition of Hellcat was just the beginning of all the miseries in Warthunder, the start of No Armor is the Best Armor. Call it my traumatized memory but that's really how I felt it, properlyly armored tanks started to become less and less favorable against just random race car with a gun ever since
Isnt that the point of those tanks ? And why theres no more heavy tanks in modern times ? Heavy tanks are meant to be supported by the infantry but in the case of war thunder there is no infantry so yeah, only alternative is not to have mobile tanks. If thats what you want.
@@rafaellogana692 Is that mobile tank that I am against? Leopards still cannot fully dominate 7.7 against Russian line up of 54s and IS-4s. It's things like the bloody lunch boxes that are just utterly absurd and ridiculous ffs
The worst is not even that, in this game you might even actively look for less armor because No Armor is THE Best Armor while in reality both East and West are still trying to improve their armor in whichever way they could. And then Gaijin added that Hull Brake thing, which is just full of bs itself so that even the mobile vehicle players can suffer just as much as their victims.
Also I am very sure that irl even the most mobile tanks cannot just move against physical law and use some of the most cancerous positions commonly practiced in game, seeing a fking armored vehicle bumping around these ridges like bunch of street hooligans are just bs
And to conclude, in case you have problems making it clear on your own head, mobile vehicles are absolutely fine for their practical existence, it's only Gaijin's game execution and balancing that is ruining everything.

I admit gaijins balancing is shit but mobile tanks are supposed to counter heavy tanks that hull down using flanking maneuver and besides, people bumping ridges can be done in real life you'll just look like an idiot and impractical but this is a game so bumping around ridges wont cost you your life so yeah absolute freedom to do what you want. Even if you are in a heavy tank you are not supposed to stay in one place for too long cause sooner or later they will be pissed at you and flank you, worse revenge bomb you.

Controls Malfunction Challenge:
Go the controls and switch the movement of the tank keys(WASD) with the aiming controls(mouse) so basically you'll move the tank with your mouse(RMB=Forwards, LMB=Backwards) and turn the turret/aim with the WASD keys(W/S for vertical movement, A/D for horizontal movement) with a variety of tanks( normal tanks, SPGs, AA, etc).

Remember Phly. Rule no.5 When playing as Germany, a Wirbelwind should (with no exception) always be present in the players line up.
The zoom on the gun of this vehicle is horrendous, do you play with a magnifier by any change?
Dantali0n the zoom is disgustingly bad, but I learned how to whack targets wayyy out
@Zoomer Waffen Tank destroyers as they existed in American and German doctrine particularly, were vehicles specifically designated for taking out other armor. Range didn't matter. Panzer 3's and 4's could kill other armor as could sherman 75's but the medium and even heavy tanks of the day were meant as infantry support and taking out fortified positions. Range isn't really a deciding factor. Usually if you don't have a TD unit nearby and there's an enemy armored division. You call them in, not the entire armored division.
The hellcat used to have a decent zoom. But they nerfed it.

@@Meravokas Its not like I am expecting the vehicle to have decent zoom, the gunner is literally sat with his head above the turret just staring out into the distance. its just it makes it so much harder to play this thing.

A few weeks ago I was able to get 8 kills on German vehicles with the Hellcat within the first 2 minutes of the start of the game. It was amazing, definitely my best experience in WT.

Literally just finished watching your old hellcat vid when this popped up in my recommendation
We used to use these in 6.7 competitive squad battles as scouts.. the tiger 2's were not much issue, and neither were the t'32's at the time.. both had horrid weak spots.. especialy the t-32 which splashed hits to the floor ammo rack and detonated it 90% of the time from the front.

The Lorraine 40T...pretty much same playstyle as the hellcat but with good pen, closed turret top and 4sec reload. It was so good at 6.3 it went 7.7
It had so much less penetration back in the day. Only around 220 or maybe even less, i don't remember exactly. But yeah. Ph for Lorraine 40t
