- From this day 2020-02-10 Jon will be leaving Wasted Penguinz, he will no longer be a part of WP anymore.
Pontuz will continue to do Wasted Penguinz on his own.

Just want to thank you Jon (and ofc Pontuz) for all the great music you've put out together, in fact you were the primary reason I fell in love with this music so much back in the days and got this urge to start promoting it as a hobby. For me you were creators of the real euphoric hardstyle, the emotions you were able to put into the tracks I just hadn't felt at such a level before and you created the hype around the style when you were signed with Scantraxx so for that I will be forever thankful! Hope you the very best!

I cried, alone in a crowd and surrounded by friends that didn't know, when you guys played Make It One Day at EDC for the first time. The weekend before, I'd tried to kill myself, and I almost did. Even still, I couldn't tell anyone, and there I was listening to my favorite DJs and you guys just let me know you know. I don't live in a place where I can go to hardstyle events anymore, but I'm glad I got to see your guys from time to time in California, including your first ever show in the US. Thanks for making some of the most meaningful songs to me.

Okay, I really need to get something of my chest remember this is my opinion, I'm not going against anyone here to begin with.. But Im really thinking of leaving the Hardstyle scene, just because I can't stand the RAW music, it's so fucking overrated and it's not even music anymore and people call it hardstyle. It should be something like "industrial hardcore" or some shit, cause some guys play it at 158 BPM at events anyway. Sounds the same.... It's getting really fucking tough especially when the A names just sit back and do nothing to change the sound. I mean come on.. I know time changes and bla bla, YES I get that. But there's no joy in the music anymore, all fucking tunes goes something like this: "IM GONNA KILL YOU WITH MY FIST MOTHERFUCKER" GANG GANG GANG, "insert 5 year old kick rolls"... Something needs to fucking change.. WHERES THE MELODIES????? Where's the actual music????? Cause if nothing's gonna change -> I'm Out! And people can complain when the Euphoric hardstyle sound disappears and wonder what happen to it. Long live hardstyle.

I’m really sad for losing one of the kings of Euphoric Hardstyle. I’ve been listening to your awesome emotional music since I started listening to Hardstyle, and you’ve been one of my main inspirations.
On the other hand I’m happy for your decision. Sometimes you need to stop, and just follow “the lighthouse in the dark”. I wish the best for you, I’m pretty sure you will find the stability you need and that you will be happy again.

You began with anxiety and confined thoughts. You realised paradise is lost and said take me away. Stuck in melancholia and wistfulness you thought FML. Staring in the raindropz you felt clarity. Remembering the brightest days, you thought I miss you and held a resistance. Looking into the evergreen you both knew this was magic. You were told this is your moment so you had to stay alive. He said I'll wait for you because you're still together. Every one knew you will make it one day, all you need is a lighthouse to guide you.
You guys helped through high school 9 years ago and have dramatically change my perspective on life. You've inspired so much to push on, I honestly could not listen to your music with out crying guys.
You have created absolute master pieces and even in the future you two will be remembered as pioneers.

The clips i've been seeing from you guys 11 years ago, joining scantraxx at first, next to the music tracks. Clips about a potato, catching chips, playing on the guitar etc. That seemed to be a time with lots of laughter and pure friendship. Over the years i've seen you guys grow more and more. And time to time you two became more serious everytime. Still amazing music with feels, but i could see that the fun factor became less and it all became too real.

First of all, thank you Jon for all of these years you put into making music, I had the privilege of finding your music when you used to record those funny videos together, you brought joy and laughter to my days of school 9 years ago. I admire the both of you for having such a friendship and sharing so many things together and I can imagine it wasn’t easy for you to carry on as you did, there are songs that will be forever in my heart, songs that your voice is in them, impossible to forget the feelings you put to them, melancholia being one of them, get the rest you deserve because you deserve it, health is first, but know that you will always be remembered as a legend, I really wish you the best for the future and you will always have us, hoping to hear the music you make from now on when you do because I am one that believes that music speaks for itself and you do a great job to express the feelings through it. Jon, I wish you all the peace you can have, depression is some nasty stuff to get through but you will conquer it in time and learn a lot about yourself. I have been there so I know the feeling and really recommend you to do some meditation (if you don't do it already) and get your sleep schedule back on track. Don't think to much and aim to feel good, time will do the rest and remember you are as good as you are for yourself whatever you do.

Sad day, ever since my younger days when I discovered your early tracks (Play the Game, Circle of Life etc) I've had your songs close to heart and listen through them every so often. Been a big part of me growing up and opened my eyes to hardstyle which was pretty unknown for me before.

I don't comment often, however as you close this chapter of your life please know this. Jon, you and Pontuz have spread so much love and joy into this community, one of the fondest memories I have is my wife and I attending one of your shows in seattle, front row, the feeling of love, joy, and pure acceptance just flooded the crowd that night. We danced with strangers who we will never see again as if they were best friends and it was one of the most euphoric nights of our lives.
Now it's time for us to give some of that love back to you. Please go take care of yourself, find that special somthing that makes you happy and helps bring you out of this dark space you find yourself in. We all understand, and many prayers go with you.

I normally don't comment, but here goes. I've been following you guys since you first appeared and i instantly fell in love with your music. I got all your albums and i actually got a chance to experience a set of yours for the first time last month and what an amazing set it was. Sometimes change is needed to become happy again, so i thank you both for a whole decade of amazing music and i wish you both a bright future.
Very happy for Jon, he is making the decisions he needs to make for his own betterment. Wasted penguinz will always be the group that got me into hardstyle and for that both of you will remain legends!

Wasted Penguinz will never be the same as we know and used to... A lot of memories hearing and enjoying the tracks, I love listening to their tracks since 2015, being one of the artists who made me love hardstyle. I still respect Jon's decision and I really wish he take care of himself. Same wishes for Pontuz as well.

Thanks for sharing your feelings, Jon. When we get to that point it really ends up being necessary to sacrifice great things and change the lifestyle, to return to live well. I hope for the happiness of you two on your journey.

I discovered you guys when I was at my lowest. You are what brought me into hardstyle and what brought me out of the depression I was in. I know how much depression sucks and I wish you the best for your future as I love you both and this music so so much. Thank you for saving my life
