In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxObserver, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxObserver event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. Legendary. Goldie Changed my entire perception, scope and dynamics of music in 1995 when Timeless was released. A true pioneer.
Likewise mate, couldn't agree more.
I'm still listening to it more than 25 years later, and it still holds its own.

More than one actually
Such an inspirational character. His book, 9 Lives, gives a greater insight of his life's highs and lows. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to know more about Goldie.
He made another one because he felt he was too lairy in that book 9 lives he wrote it at the time he still hadn’t sorted a lot of issues out but it is a good book in my opinion as well

One of the best Ted talks i've heard. Sometimes people say things that really connect with us because they've found an unknown truth, or shed light on a truth that no one really thinks about anymore. What a legend.
absolutely incredible, what a beautiful, natural way he has of not just connecting with the audience, but with us also. This is just a a magical insight into his life, and i feel honored that I've had a glimpse into his amazing life, thank-you
He was playing a show at the Masquerade in Atlanta and I got to go pick him up from his hotel and drive him to the venue... He is my hero

I left Frank F Harrison school 4 years well before Goldie attended. Mr Hurst was the best man I've ever meet. nobody can inspire me like he used to! he might look like C3-P0 but you gotta love the guy for showing us how to put our life's on a piece of paper and be proud of it.
of all the ted talks, this one seems be the most heart felt, and therefore (in my humble opinion) most valuable/interesting talk yet.
Legend, absolute legend. Charming, well spoken and I've been a fan since Timeless.

Goldie on a Tedtalk. Not even expecting this. Everyone has a story and I'm glad he told his. Oh yeah DnB was better with hard work from DJs like him.

I always regarded him as a big brother from whom I learned a plethora on electronic music, dnb and ultimately about myself. Thank you, sir. You will always be part of my life, through music.

Audio quality is astonishing poor from ted talks especially as Goldie is an audio sound genius
Great talk, but when he said: "When all [whatever he says] is down to science, where is the faith?" What does he mean by that? Why would science contradict humanism and feelings? I don't think it does.
Enjoyed this, thanks. Audio phase issues made it sound like my ears were about to pop tho
