Fallout 4 had surprisingly good voice acting, for a pretty rough game. At least the mods made it better.

Fallout 4 was pretty objectively one of the better games ever made. It wasn't a fantastic RPG with meaningful consequences but the overall quantity and quality of content dwarfs most other 60 dollar games.

Well it actually surprise me to know uncharted and Death stranding has that good acting.
@The Cracked Lenses Telltalle and DP games are playable movies, Sony exclusives almost always have both great cinematics/story and great gameplay
Death stranding caught a lot of bad press on release because of its simplistic/dull gameplay, but i gave it a shot last year and i’ll just say its story made up for every ounce of its “bad” gameplay. Easily one my top 10 games solely because of the amount of depth that is in its narrative.

@The Cracked Lenses They are both playable movies, but uncharted I always liked the gameplay it still felt engaging, one of my favourites personally. The story was good and the gameplay was fun, not ground breaking, but seriously enjoyable I used to play the shit out of uncharted 2 and the online. Even 3 online was fun, but again my opinion.

cmon man, imagine if you were called by your english teacher who assigned you lines from a certain character to read. Pretty sure you arent gonna bring out an oscar worthy performance or anything. They are basketball players, not voice actors.
@@juice8431 Come on man. It's pretty clear that half these guys are functionally illiterate and struggling. On a scale of 1-10 these performances were about a -5. You don't have to be a voice actor to do a halfway decent job.

I know these aren’t games and it’s kinda unrelated but honestly, most modern anime dubs are really good and sometimes better than the original. Even some classic shows like Death Note, Steins;Gate, FMAB, and DBZ have godlike dubs. When it goes wrong though, it goes oh so horribly wrong.
not even close though. There are very good DUBs for sure and there are really good VAs such as Matt Mercer or Michael Tatum, who not only do an outstanding work but also push the community forward. That being said, we are still decades behind the Japanese CV industry. Sometimes, even in a mediocre generic show, you can hear a guy screaming so hard and passionate that you wonder if his lungs could collapse after something like this.
Anyhow, Code Geass is also one of the best ENG DUBs out there. Partially because it truly adds to the atmosphere and makes more sense in terms of the setting.

@@coupdegrace2767 I dunno, a bigger list of the good dubs I’ve seen here: Steins;Gate, Death Note, FMAB, DBZ/DBS, Code Geass (you mentioned), MHA, JJK, Fate Zero, Mob Psycho, Cowboy Bebop, AOT (mixed bag but it gets better later), Re Zero, and more.
Those aren’t just random luck dubs, those are some of the most popular and well regarded anime out there, I guarantee at least one of the shows there are most people’s favorite anime. I watch in dub and sub but a lot of the time I prefer dub performances.
And for the record, Goku, the most popular anime character out there, is a way better screamer in dub than in sub. And screaming is kind of essential in Dragonball.
@@coupdegrace2767 that's because the budget for English dubs for most anime are pretty low. They know a lot of these anime won't find the same monetary success outside Japan and hence don't fund it majorily. Japanese VAs for most anime are often top tier experienced actors.
This is also why the best english dubs have come from popular anime, since they can afford to invest in a good English VA cast
