Good video to know how to make a simple repair and save money. That black grime is carbon built up from arcing. A little isopropyl alcohol would help with the cleaning. If it’s really bad would use a little emory cloth.
Much milder abrasive than Emory paper. Ink eraser is much better suited. Even crocus cloth which is similar would be better. To coarse creates more pitting down the road. Best to polish the contact surface afterwards too.
Very well done and explained.
Thanks man saved me a the 115 bucks very good video worked well for me thanks again
glad it worked!

Where can I find just one of the black plastic up/down switches. They like to break and I can't find the individual switch button cap covers anywhere.
I use rockauto for a lot of my car parts, unfortunately I wasn’t able to find a replacement switch cover without having to buy the whole unit.
I have a 1999. I'm not finding the door panel removal. Can you make one or point me in the right direction?
there should be a screw in the door latch and in the door handle, and a few plastic push pins that need to removed and then the panel should pry off!
