I am old enough to remember when Dylan's recording of this song was a hit. I have heard many covers of many different songs over the last 60 years and I have to say, this one of the few that is better than the original. No disrespect to Dylan, his original was spectacular. Green Day's recording is just better. (In my humble opinion!)
I'm like one of the biggest Green Day fans out there and heard this song like today for the first time! How the hell I didn't heard this bad ass track before??! Amaizing cover for an already amaizing song!
I was 14 years old on November 12,1965 and was a few feet from bob dylan at the Cleveland music hall and he played this song. it was still on the charts. the greatest song in rock and roll history.
@@mdteletom1288 Well, I think I understand your comment. I am a huge Dylan fan and bought the semi-interpretation of his life in the movie I'm Not There. Bought the soundtrack. Always thought no one can do justice to Dylan himself. I still think that but have become fond of some of the covers on that 2 set disc. Much to my surprise! Especially this man named John Doe who does the two best renditions of obscure Dylan songs and he blows me away. I don't remember this comment. I know I never got into Green day.....maybe I was high. Like a rolling stone is the greatest rock song of all time imho, and only Dylan can do it. But, love the Stones too and they were great doing this phenomenal song. I think that answers your comment(?).
Les Groper, don't answer , this guy don't know anithink about the real Rock n' Roll for saying that ^^ Sorry for my english, God wtf why i'm listening this !

This is awesome, and one of my favorite songs on top of it, it can't be beat ...

Really cool version of "Like a rolling stone." Thanks for posting!
This is the best cover of any Dylan song EVER!!!
This must be the only one you ever heard then.

Dude, these picures you used are great! Never seen them before.
this was really really well made fantastic job!!!
Dylan wrote wonderful songs, but artists like Green day & the Byrds made them GREAT
AGUANTE GREEN DAY MADE IN ARGENTINA
great cover lads rocking to another level .
The Stones also had a good live cover version on their unplugged album but this is a killer version ....
There was a way-better live version on youtube a few years ago, which was very atmospheric, firery and triumphant, yet gentle.
JaimeGreenDayTC, you're a fucking genius, love your vids!!!!
Its pure brilliant, its as close to as perfect as the original
Da brividi...

Billie Joe Is So Fucking Crazy AND AWESOME *.* :D
esta mejor el de los rolling pero este safa!!... el mejor cover que vi de green day es el de "We are the champions" - Queen sin duda!!
Bob Dylan wrote a good song for only good bands to sing this classic. Green Day does well with it. Wonder if ACDC sings it.
I would love Bon to sing this one, ala the live album style.
@PKFreakz Oh, yes, the situation seemed perfect for you to comment on something that has absolutely nothing to do with you.
Didya forget about Jimi Hendrix's version of All Along the Watchtower? *shrug*
@RedMixedWithBlue Oh, yes, the situation seemed perfect to say bad words huh?
Let's just turn the amps way up, turn up the distortion and spit put the song Stones style. For a better version listen to Hendrix.
From where is that picture? 1:03
good cover by them, i think the original was by bob dylan?
Dylan wrote this in 1965
listen The lonesome death of Hattie Carroll by Cage the elephant

0:55, does anyone else think it look slike mike has 3 legs?
Not bad.
you use to laugh about those who were hangin out ...
An ok rendition. Green Day doesn’t have a hot lead player so, it’s missing all the cool licks.
